Animal Crossing: New Horizons has officially released its latest major update. With this, there have been a number of new additions to the game that players have begun to explore. Though Animal Crossing: New Horizons has some in-game explanations for the new items and features, there are some additions that are a bit of a challenge to find.
Now that Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update is live, players have gained the ability to create an accent wall in their rooms and throughout their home. But this ability doesn't get automatically added to a player's repertoire. Those players looking to unlock accent walls in their game can use this guide for help.
Where To Unlock Accent Walls
Those who are looking for any update to a player's ability to design should always look to the Nook Stop Terminal in Resident Services. And this is true in this circumstance as well. This is the location where players can redeem their Nook Miles, explore Nook Shopping options, access their in-game bank account, and invite an amiibo camper. Though not the place to find the rarest items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is the place where players can unlock the ability to create accent walls
Clicking through the 'Redeem Nook Miles' option, players can then scroll down to the Pro Decorating License. This is what gives players the ability to create accent walls and it costs 2,500 Nook Miles. Once this has been purchased, players just have to go to their homes to begin using this license's abilities.
Once they enter their home, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will give players an information screen detailing all the different new ways in which they can interact with their home. And this new license comes with the latest update to the game rather than requiring the paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Happy Home Paradise.
How To Set Up An Accent Wall
Accent walls are fortunately quite straightforward to set up in the game. Players need only have wallpaper in their inventory in order to set it as an accent wall. First, players just have to approach the wall they want to change. Secondly, players need to interact with this wall and select the ‘Set Accent Wall’ option. And this will place that held wallpaper on just one wall in the room.
This new feature gives players more space to use wallpapers but, unfortunately, doesn't allow for numerous wallpapers per room. Before Animal Crossing New Horizons' latest update, only one wallpaper could be used per room, and now that number has grown to two. But, players looking to use multiple accent walls in the same room are unfortunately out of luck.
