Tomorrow, December 24, is the annual Toy Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players can spend time with their villagers in happy holiday celebrations, but they can also collect a number of free items by delivering their villagers gifts throughout the event. Here's how Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can get all free items from Toy Day.

Though Toy Day resembles Christmas, it occurs on December 24 each year, likely because most folks are spending time with loved ones on Christmas Day. To make sure that Toy Day takes place, Animal Crossing should be updated to Version 1.6.0 C. If it hasn't automatically updated, Switch players can manually do a software update by going to the console's home screen. Games will update to Version C of 1.6.0 at 5:00 a.m. on December 24 in their respective time zones, but the update is already available, so players can change the clocks on their Switch to get it earlier.

Once Animal Crossing: New Horizons is updated to the proper version, the NPC Jingle can be found on the island. Players will want to start out by talking to him. The first item players will receive during the Toy Day event is a Festive Wrapping Paper DIY recipe card from the black-nosed reindeer, who will ask the player to make him three sets. One Festive Wrapping Paper needs one of each color ornament to craft, which can be found by shaking cedar trees with stringed lights.

After giving Jingle three Festive Wrapping Papers, he'll hand over a Magic Bag and ask players to help with delivering presents to the villagers. He'll also hand over Toy Day Stockings, which can be hung up on walls inside the player's home. If the player does hang them up, they'll receive Jingle's Photo on December 25. Make sure to leave it up overnight and approach the stockings to receive the gift.

The Magic Bag operates like a tool in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but players can navigate to their inventory, click on the Magic Bag, and click "Look Inside" to check how many presents they have left to deliver. If the player has a full island, they'll have to deliver all 10 presents to their villagers in order to receive the prize. It's pretty simple, however, because unlike normally gifting items to villagers, there isn't any choosing involved; the player will just hand over an unspecified wrapped gift. This is different from Animal Crossing: New Leaf where players had to pay attention to what the villagers wanted in the weeks leading up to Toy Day.

After delivering half the gifts, players can talk to Jingle to receive a Gift Pile DIY recipe. After delivering gifts to all villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will be rewarded with a Toy Day Sleigh.

As a bonus, players can wrap up items and give them as gifts during Toy Day in exchange for presents, which are randomly selected from Nook's Cranny's rotation of December-specific items.
