It's almost hard to believe that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for over six months. In that time, Nintendo has released multiple content updates for the game at no additional charge. With the latest update just five days away from its release, Nintendo has also confirmed a release window for another upcoming seasonal update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

As previously mentioned, the most recent content update is set to release on September 30, and will be Halloween themed. Since the game's launch, Nintendo has been consistently releasing seasonal updates for the game, each matching on the time of year. While this Halloween update has yet to be officially released, it seems Nintendo has already begun to tease the subsequent content update, releasing shortly after the fall update.

At the very end of the Halloween update trailer, Nintendo revealed the release window for an upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas themed update, set to release sometime in late November. It will be interesting to see all of the Holiday themed content so soon after the Halloween themed clothing and items.

It is rather strange that Nintendo decided to announce the existence of a holiday-themed content update right before the release of the fall update. Perhaps the company knew that fans would be curious about when to expect a Holiday update considering how soon the holidays are to each other. In fact, the Halloween update did show up quickly after the release of the fall Animal Crossing update back in early September.

In any case, it is nice to know that Nintendo is planning this far ahead in terms of content updates. Updates always bring a host of new content to the game, adding a ton of new stuff since the game's launch. In fact, right after the game first launched, a free Easter-themed update was released, though it included some elements that weren't very well received, specifically an absurd number of special event eggs scattered around islands.

It's impressive how Nintendo has managed to stay on top of releasing these free content updates in a consistent and timely manner. These updates, along with all of the additional content the company has planned for the game, such as the return of Amiibo cards, will be sure to give fans of the game a lot to do and accomplish within the world of Animal Crossing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
