Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have been gifted loads of new content as part of the free 2.0 update for Nintendo's life-sim Switch game. One of the new features added to ACNH is the Pro Camera application for players' Nook Phone. This gives gamers much more freedom when snapping photos around the island. By using this guide, players will learn how to get the Pro Camera app in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and learn how to use it.

How to Get the Pro Camera Application in ACNH

Once players update Animal Crossing: New Horizons to the 2.0 version, they'll have many new things to purchase from the Nook Stop machine in Isabelle and Tom Nook's office. One of these things is the Pro Camera App, and it costs 1500 Nook Miles. It can be found by pressing "Redeem Nook Miles." Nook Shopping is where players can purchase items with Bells. Once the app is bought, it'll automatically be downloaded onto the player's in-game smartphone.

How to Use the Pro Camera App in ACNH

To use the Pro Camera app, press the ZL button on the Switch, and the app will be on the front panel in the top-left corner. From here, players will have many different options to get the perfect picture.

  • Use the minus button to switch between all of the different camera types (Handheld, Tripod, Bird's-Eye).
  • Handheld mode lowers the camera to eye level.
  • Tripod camera mode holds the camera at one spot so that players can find the perfect angle for the picture.
  • Bird's Eye view allows players to see the scene zoomed out.
  • To use the popular fish-eye lens with the Pro Camera app, players must be in Handheld mode and press ZL to go through all of the filters --the Fish-Eye lens will be the last one on the list.

If players don't see the camera application available at the Nook Stop machine, they should double-check that their version of ACNH is updated to 2.0. From the main Switch menu, press + over the Animal Crossing tile, go to Software Update and press on "update via the internet."
