Animal Crossing: New Horizons is full of player-created content, but one player has gone above and beyond and built their very own Pokemon stadium on their island. The recreation is so detailed it could pass as an official crossover.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons lets players get creative with the items they're given, and tons of cool things have been created since the game launched in March. Animal Crossing creations come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from individual custom designs to large scale island projects. From original content to incredibly detailed recreations and homages, there's no shortage of great user-created content in the game. This creation, however, is one of the best seen in the game to date.

Twitter user zapsuit posted images of a Pokemon stadium that they designed for their island. The area surrounding the stadium is terraformed, providing multiple different levels for seating, and custom designs have been placed on the ground to create a playing field. There's even an excellent looking Pokeball in the middle of the field with a center that lights up. The entire thing looks like it could very well be an official update from Nintendo, but everything has been designed and placed by hand.

Because of the limitations of the game, Animal Crossing players usually have to get creative and use place items in peculiar ways to get things to look right, but this Pokemon stadium creation somehow manages to have every aspect of it look perfect. The lights and chairs look as is they were designed explicitly to be used in a stadium like this, and the custom designs that make up the playing field itself have no imperfections at all. There's even an area with vending machines nearby. The player behind this creation truly thought of everything.

Animal Crossing projects like these take a lot of dedication, and more work goes into them than one may initially think. Even something as simple as sourcing all the seats can take days, as the correct chairs would first need to appear in the fairly limited daily stock of items in the store. Once the chairs have been purchased once, more can be bought at the island's Nook Shopping terminal, but purchases there are limited to 5 per day. Issues like these add up, so building something as complex as a Pokemon stadium is a phenomenal accomplishment, especially when it turns out as good as this one.

Still, this isn't the first major Animal Crossing creation, and it likely won't be the last. With New Horizons still relatively new, there are still several potential projects just waiting to be completed, and many more creations are sure to spring up in the coming months.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
