Players have quickly been flocking to Twitter, Instagram, or whatever other image hosting site they prefer with their own personal creations from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These creations come through the game's Custom Design feature, although not everything that players have been creating has been completely original.

The Custom Design feature unlocks after players receive the Nook Phone, and can be upgraded as players progress through Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While some obvious recreations have spread quickly, such as Pokemon characters and references, players have reached out all over gaming and pop culture for their in-game creations.

A lot of these creations tend to take the form of clothes, like shirts, hoodies, and hats, as players unlock the ability to design their own duds, but often they also include wallpapers and works of art either hung on the wall or displayed on a canvas. However, the freedom that the Custom Design feature in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has given rise to players recreating images and outfits from games like Dark Souls and Death Stranding, but also expanding out to shows like Spongebob and Demon Slayer. Some players can't seem to decide exactly what they want to recreate, so they'll both lean into the recently popular Doom crossovers with Animal Crossing or throw references around from all over.

Fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or any of the many pop culture icons being referenced in the player creations, can find tons of these designs through #AnimalCrossingDesigns. With players coming from all different ends of so many different fandoms to share their creations, the sky is the limit for what fans might be able to find when searching their preferred image hosting website. Additionally, given how many people have already bought the latest Animal Crossing title, there are tons of players out there to continue making a massive collection of creations for fans to scroll through for some time to come.

In this time, where players are choosing to stay inside with Animal Crossing: New Horizons as opposed to risking going outside in the real world, sharing and spreading creations has become just another way for gamers to connect online. It has become exciting to see how far players will go when recreating some of the most popular games, movies, and shows through the pixel art style of the Custom Design feature. With any luck, players are far from running out of ideas and inspirations to draw from for some of these amazing, and often hilarious creations to decorate their private islands with.
