For some reason, when presented with a blank canvas, some people just have to draw lewd things. This long and sordid tradition has, for better or worse, reached Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With the recent addition of customizable fireworks to New Horizons, players have been having far too much fun creating NSFW shapes that light up the night sky.
While Animal Crossing: New Horizons has the reputation of being a family friendly game, it does give players a huge amount of freedom to customize their islands. Since the game's release, many players have found joy in bringing some amount of perversion to the normally wholesome game. However, phallic fireworks might be the dirtiest thing players have done in the game so far.
These fireworks look exactly like what one would expect them to. Most of the images currently flooding Twitter show two circular fireworks, topped by a longer one, creating a familiar, if unpleasant, shape. And while they aren't as creative as the remake of Patty's Pub in Animal Crossing, they certainly do get the point across.
Of course, some players aren't satisfied with just creating imagery of genitals. Some players have created works of NSFW art that belong in Blathers' Museum. They've found ways of contorting the fireworks to spell out all sorts of words that are unfit to print in this publication. Others have timed their fireworks to go off in a way that mimics a popular dirty activity.
Some fans might take offense to such blatantly NSFW content in what is, for all intents and purposes, a children's game. Many players would keep dirty imagery away from the cute villagers. Animal Crossing is a place of refuge for players, and it's understandable that they wouldn't want that image sullied.
On the other hand, creating lewd fireworks is very funny to some. It's probably even funnier because Animal Crossing has such a soft, inoffensive aesthetic. Sometimes players need to take a break from recreating their favorite movies in New Horizons, and just have some good, old fashioned, dirty fun.
