But it's the huge laundry list of new furniture and houseware items that really stands out. With so many more to check out—and many new expensive Animal Crossing: New Horizons items to buy and sell—it was time to revisit this list.
20 Aluminum Briefcase (100,000 Bells)
Some may recall the recent May Day event, a cryptic puzzle that tasked players with reaching the end of a hedge maze using a handful of tools and items. Those who completed the puzzle would be gifted the briefcase of the event's feline arranger, Rover. While the event lasted just a week, inhabitants can still shell out 100,000 Bells for this similar work-related item.

As is the case in real life, shelling out for a new desktop computer can be a hefty investment. In the world of Animal Crossing, though, this apparently extends to PCs that seem to have been plucked out of the early 2000s.

While the majority of furnishings and houseware are just for show, there are a number of items that can be interacted with on some level. Some of the key assets with this feature are musical instruments– which allow players to bust out random tunes whilst simply button mashing.
This makes the Cello somewhat more appealing despite its high price tag, especially for those who fancy classical music and string instruments. These can be bought in either black or white, and also come in Natural and Classic styles. An upgraded Nook's Cranny will offer this item for a significant 130,000 Bells and will buy them back for a decent return of 32,500.
15 Harp (130,000 Bells)
Though the Cello's decorative qualities may not be its biggest appeal, the same cannot be said for this classic instrument. This Harp just exudes luxury, with its crafted detail, sleek finish, and robust size. This sophisticated item would surely be a nice focal point for any home study, bedroom, or music room.
They won't often be seen at Nook's Cranny, but those with the money and taste for classical melodies should consider making this investment if one pops up. These luxury Harps come in black, white, brown, and light/dark brown. They can be sold back for a solid 32,500 Bells.

Though it isn't a cheap endeavor, it's possible to flesh out one's bathroom and inject a sense of elegance and visual appeal. Indeed, items like the shower– as well as this relaxing whirlpool bath– can help make the usually bland bathroom one of the more visually interesting rooms in one's house.

Multipurpose items should typically be viewed as more valuable, which at least partially explains the Screen's lofty asking price of 140,000 Bells. Its range of images–including a dragon, tiger, pine, plum, and bamboo– instantly inject some artistic flair into one's home.
At the same time, this item can serve as a sort of makeshift wall or divider to separate or isolate areas of a room. This brings an added feeling of depth and grandiosity to one's home, as it essentially allows for a room within a room. Those who decide to opt for a more open room after buying one can sell it back for 35,500 Bells.
8 Strategic Meeting Table
Players can feel like the general of a campy sci-fi action film from the '80s with this table. One of the many standout items added to the free 2.0 Update, this robust table can add amusing flair to a science fiction-themed room, bunker, or science lab. Not only does it impress on a visual level, but it actually has functionality, as it holds items just like any other table.
And as a cool bonus, the game allows for surface pattern altering through customization kits or by Cyrus at Harv's Island. Players may be lucky enough to find it at Nook's Cranny for 150,000 Bells, and also appears in the house of the distinct robo-ctopus villager Cephalobot. 7 Samurai Suit (150,000 Bells)
Nintendo often favors celebrating its Japanese heritage through cultural flair in many of its games, and New Horizons is no different—as illustrated by this elegant piece. Modeled from the Medievil Japanese warriors, this detailed display item punctuates an eastern-themed room, museum, or war room, and makes a neat focal point for one's house.
The item comes in black, red, blue, purple, and silver, and looks great in each one. It can be obtained at Nook's Cranny for 150,000 Bell and pawned for 37,500.
6 Kitchen Island (170,000 Bells)
Another multifunctional asset is this robust Kitchen Island– a furnishing that strengthens one's kitchen from a visual and practical standpoint. One side of the item emphasizes detail, with its slew of compartments, a sink, and a cooktop. Meanwhile, the opposite side allows one to use it as a countertop with which to place excess kitchen items; ricer-cookers, mixers, etcetera.
This minimizes the need to craft additional tables or counters. Though it isn't customizable, the item comes in a whopping seven variations - white, blue, red, light brown, dark brown, black, and silver. 5 Cold Sleep Pod (190,000 Bells)
While it's quite "cool" thematically, this Update 2.0 item also stands out in its interactive nature. In fact, crawling in this pod and taking a snooze will transport the player to another setting. The result is a surreal online experience that lets players visit other "dream islands". These are fan-created destinations that can be accessed by codes or drifted into at random. Essentially, this device slots in as a cool sci-fi-themed bed.
But while players can explore to their heart's content, items can't be picked up. After all, this experience isn't even real. If this sounds like a good time, this dream transport can be obtained in blue, green, orange, and red for close to 200,000 Bells, and pawned for 47,500.
4 Spaceship Control Panel (190,000 Bells)
For those who like their sci-fi as bold and over-the-top as possible, this large control panel is the item of choice. The variety of customizations makes this already cool design glow even more, and players can even customize this gadget's main monitor pattern. With the help of the villager Cyrus, the color of the panel's luminous glow can even be altered.
This massive device comes in classic sci-fi blue, as well as green, orange, and red. Going full Star Trek with this high-tech item will be fairly costly, but it makes for a good way to impress friends when showing off one's island. It can also be sold back at 47,500 Bells.
3 Elaborate Kimono Stand (220,000 Bells)
Considering the origins of NH's developer, it's perhaps appropriate that one of its standout items is brimming with Japanese flair and character. One might be surprised to find this traditional Japanese dress Stand cost a whopping 220,000 Bells. It also can be flipped for a pretty respectable 55,000.
This is both a visually appealing and detailed item. It's deceptively expensive, though it makes for an emphatic way to decorate all sorts of themed rooms. Couple this with the Screen to truly exude some Eastern cultural flair. These come in a variety of different paintings all shown here – hawk, wisteria, balls, cranes, and tree peonies.
2 Grand Piano (260,000 Bells)
Yes, the Grand Piano certainly comes with a "grand" price tag, standing as the most expensive piece of furniture in AC: NH. This lavish, elegant item is sure to make for a gorgeous focal point for just about anyone's virtual home. Whether playing delightful tunes or simply admiring it from afar, the Grand Piano is an investment worth going for– even if it does take a while to afford.
This piano comes in four colors; each of which are rich and appealing in their own way. Players can choose between white, black, cherry, and walnut. And if one's no longer in the musical spirit, this piano can be flipped for 65,000 Bells.
1 Throne (800,000 Bells)
Being by far the most expensive item in the game (as of now at least), this item of royalty is truly fit for a king or queen. Presumably, Nintendo felt most of the game's user base was deep enough into the experience that they could afford such luxuries after a few years. But regardless, this one will likely take quite some time to afford.
It will take 40 customization kits to alter this gem's pattern or color scheme. However, Cyrus can also be called upon to customize the frame if players are really looking to show off their wealth and dedication. The throne fittingly comes in gold and silver, but honestly, it even looks excellent in the included white, black, and copper.
