Games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons give their players the tools they need to create nearly everything and anything they set their minds to. Many players enjoy decorating their island, sprucing up their home, or socializing with villagers, while others recreate classic scenes and environments from popular media.

The subject of these recreations have varied wildly, ranging from things like remaking the study room from Community, or the Lost Woods from The Legend of Zelda. One dedicated fan took the tools available to them and recreated one of the most iconic scenes to come out of the original Jurassic Park film.

Anyone who has watched the original Jurassic Park likely remembers the kitchen scene vividly. Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan yerawizardrachy clearly does, as they shared a screenshot of the scene, impeccably rebuilt. In the film, the two grandchildren of John Hammond, owner of the park, are running for their lives, being pursued by a pack of hungry raptors. The kids end up hiding in the park's industrial kitchen, but the raptors are hot on the heels. What transpires after that is a pulse-pounding scene as the two children desperately attempt to avoid and distract the raptors long enough to escape to safety.

Redditor yerawizardrachy shared a screenshot of the recreation with the Animal Crossing: New Horizons subreddit, which has recently gained additional attention. Two human villagers can be seen shivering in fear in the foreground, hiding approximately where they were located in the original movie rendition. Meanwhile, two dinosaurs are prowling through the rest of the kitchen, with one having leapt up onto the countertops, just like in the movie.

The image gained a ton of appreciation from fellow fans, who shared their memories of being frightened by the scene when they first watched the movie. The Jurassic Park series has moved far beyond the initial film in recent years, with the Jurassic World reboot recently receiving its third entry. However, for many viewers, scenes like this and the T-Rex's first encounter with the group stand out as some of the most memorable (and terrifying) moments the movie had to offer.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that someone's been inspired to make something from Jurassic Park on their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. Another fan once redesigned their New Horizons island to look like Jurassic Park itself. While Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a happy game intended for players of all ages, there's nothing stopping players from making their islands scary. The level of customization left up to the imagination of the players is one of the things that makes the game so enjoyable to this day.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
