Likely taking inspiration from the furniture found in their own homes, a fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has created a beautiful artwork that looks very similar to a vintage cover of an IKEA catalog. With IKEA being such a big brand that continues to be relevant to many homeowners today, it seems quite fitting for a player of the life sim to make a crossover between the retailer and the furniture found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

This fan seemed to have enjoyed stepping back in time, as they probably took inspiration from the IKEA catalogs of the past in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan art they have created. However, this is not the first time that IKEA has crossed over to life sim video game on the Nintendo Switch. Back in 2021, IKEA Taiwan made an Animal Crossing-themed catalog that took many of the visuals from the title and implemented them into an official furniture menu. One fan of the life sim also made an IKEA-inspired store on their island, complete with a parking lot, the famous restaurant, and marketplace.

Following the trend of IKEA-inspired original content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mstarliper posted an image of their furniture catalog cover art. In the artwork, the color scheme looks sepia-toned to seem reminiscent of older generation advertising. Some pieces of Animal Crossing: New Horizons furniture featured in the artist's work was also vintage-inspired, likely specifically chosen to keep up with the classical theme. To complete the piece, Mstarliper also included the cost of each item in Bells, the game's currency, so fans will know just how much the complete set-up will look in the life sim.

Fans of the game probably enjoyed seeing the artist's vintage version of some of the game's items. Comments on the Reddit thread complimented Mstarliper on their work, stating that they did an awesome job with their piece. Avid players of the game, community members also commented on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bell prices of the items in the catalog, noting how affordable some of them were. Others even pointed out that the fan art would look great as a print and the artist mentioned that they were still thinking about offering those up for sale.

Upon checking Mstarliper's Instagram account, the artist has created several art pieces from other video game series such as Kirby and Pokemon. However, this seems like the first time they have made anything for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With the sheer amount of furniture found in the life sim, hopefully the artist will be inspired to make more of these catalog pieces that the community will probably enjoy.
