If there is one thing people can count on, it's that Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans will come up with beautiful new throwbacks to their favorite games. There are certainly a multitude of ways to be creative in New Horizons, with many theming their island around a certain concept or video game. In the case of one Reddit user, they have managed to create a wonderful representation of what Pokemon's Cerulean City Gym might look like in the Animal Crossing universe.

Thanks to the huge suite of creative tools available to New Horizons players, the ability to recreate scenes from other games has become a popular pastime, with places like Leah's house from Stardew Valley being faithfully recreated in the world of Animal Crossing, along with a huge array of other titles. The combined efforts of custom clothing prints, custom floor patterns, and specific use of New Horizons' massive library of furniture items has allowed players to be more accurate in their depictions than any other Animal Crossing game to date.

Redditor moni_acnh posted their incredible recreation with a series of comparison screenshots of the actual Cerulean City Gym from Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu. Moni managed to convert their New Horizons home into the Gym using a series of custom floor tiles and a heavy dose of the game's "water flooring" craftable using summer shells. The Gym is complete with the large seashell and underwater plants that decorate the original, as well as being home to the actual Gym Leader herself, Misty.

Using New Horizons' custom clothing designs, Moni managed to perfectly create Misty in-game, complete with her yellow shirt and short-shorts, and even sporting an adorable Togepi strapped to her chest in a red Baby Bjorn. These kinds of details are littered around Moni's build, with a custom made life-preserver floating in the waters of the Gym and a red snapper acting as Magikarp to help complete the overall aesthetic. There is even a male version of the Misty costume if players want to reimagine the Cerulean City Gym with a male Gym Leader.

The amount of detail poured into Moni's creation shows that New Horizons fans can make whatever they put their mind to if given the right resources. If Nintendo were to consistently add new furniture items and clothing to the game and really bulk out the game's creative catalog, it would certainly help to keep the ball rolling on these types of recreations. Luckily, Nintendo is still offering relatively consistent updates to the game, which will hopefully help Animal Crossing players to flex their creative muscles even more.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
