Nintendo has been supporting Animal Crossing: New Horizons with free content updates since the game's initial launch, and another big update is on the way soon. Friday, November 5 will see the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0, adding signifcant new content to the social simulation game. But while there's plenty of free content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons on November 5, fans also have some paid DLC to look forward to as well.

On November 5, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will launch the Happy Home Paradise DLC. This Animal Crossing: New Horizons paid DLC will cost $24.99 as a one-time purchase, but it's also available as a freebie through the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC will let players travel to a brand new location. After players receive a recommendation from Tom Nook, they will be able to use the airport to travel to Paradise Planning, a resort planner that specializes in building vacation homes. Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will be able to work for Paradise Planning to help design dream vacation homes for various Animal Crossing characters.

Players will be able to select the island where this vacation home will be, then design the building, select the Animal Crossing: New Horizons furniture that will be in it, and even decorate the yard. The paid DLC will greatly expand how Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are able to customize things in the game, and those with the paid DLC will be able to take their skills and put them to work on their own island as well.

Using the Animal Crossing: New Horizons NookPhone, players will be able to revisit the island homes they're decorated and check in on their clients. They can redecorate the vacation homes, encourage clients to be roommates, and more. They'll also be able to design other facilities besides vacation homes, with examples given including schools, restaurants, and hospitals.

Needless to say, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC is adding significant content to the game. Those who already unlocked all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nook Miles rewards and are satisfied with how their island works will have a lot more to do once the paid DLC and free update roll around on November 5.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
