As Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to grow and expand in popularity, many different people have been drawn to the game. With every popular game, there always ends up being an influx of hacks and mods to come from the community and Animal Crossing is no exception to this, as the number of recent hacks to come from it is extensive.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons places an incredibly strong emphasis on customization and creativity. With so much variance in terms of how to customize any given island, it has allowed players to create extremely inventive island homes. However, some players have become much more inventive than others, to say the least.
Numerous players have begun to hack the game and create different trees that grow various resources. The most notable of which are star fragment trees, considering the rarity of the resource. Though, in addition to star fragments, hackers have also created trees that grow fossils, songs, and even other trees.
These hacks are incredibly useful and hilarious. Especially considering how infrequent the spawn rates of certain resources are. If there's one thing that could be said about the new Animal Crossing, it's that sometimes getting the right materials or the right items can be a rather slow process. Not to mention how players have now taken to seeking out rare villagers to join their island community.
Having said all of this, each and every one of these hacks are technically illegal. Plus, none of the hacks have gone through any kind of quality assurance testing, so it's possible that people who attempt these hacks could permanently damage their console. Thus, all of these hacks should not be approached lightly. Thankfully, there's plenty of in-game exploits that don't run that sort of risk.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the most recent entry in the widely popular Animal Crossing franchise. Since its release back in March of this year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a must-have title for the Nintendo Switch. Having only been out for less than two months, it has already become the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game of all time.
