One fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has posted online about the cute Gyroid planter that they received as a gift. For fans of both plants and the Nintendo life sim, having a planter that is shaped like an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Gyroid is probably something interesting to add to a personal collection of housewares and greenery.
When Gyroids arrived in the free Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update, players were treated to a variety of different kinds. What's more, these items could be customized within the game's DIY bench, allowing players to personalize the Gyroids that they can place on their islands. With these wobbly creatures being such a long-standing feature in the Animal Crossing series, it is not surprising for fans to make fan art, original content, and even products or merchandise of them. And with this fan's Gyroid planter, a practical use has been found for their ACNH fandom.
Redditor eric-leave took to the online forum to share a photo of the Gyroid planter that they got as a gift from a friend. This was then cross-posted by user paninipixel on the Animal Crossing subReddit. According to eric-leave, they had finally decided to place some air plants on a bowl on top of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Gyroid planter. It took them a long time to decide on the air plants as they could not find anything suitable to grow on the uniquely-shaped planter. Given that the Redditor shared the whole look online, it seems they are happy with their decision of going with the air plants.

Replies on the Reddit thread showed that there was a mix of fans of both the life sim and houseplants. Some also asked eric-leave where their friend found the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Gyroid planter as it seems they are interested in purchasing one for themselves. Unfortunately, the Redditor has not replied to the questions, so fans may have to find their own way to source the item. Nevertheless, the positive response shows that the love for Gyroids is still strong within the life sim's community.
