Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have been able to make some fantastic custom designs and island layouts since the game released, but recreations of scenes from games, television shows, and movies are another high-quality creative outlet in New Horizons. Some of those recreations come from cartoons, such as Great-Bit Arcade's remade Adventure Time intro, but one recent gem takes on a live-action property in Will Smith's classic 90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
A Reddit user named HomemadeMartian uploaded their "Fresh Prince of Bell Air" video to the r/AnimalCrossing subreddit, capturing the original show's introduction using in-game assets and clever editing tricks. What really sells the whole presentation are the Reaction emotes that Animal Crossing Will Smith and other characters exhibit throughout while doing things like spinning on gold chairs and playing basketball.
The video ends with HomemadeMartian replicating Smith spinning his head at the end of the original intro, which the creator says is "the best part," and they go on to speculate with fans about which characters would play whom — such as Blathers being Uncle Phil. HomemadeMartian has previously shown their skills recreating the intro to Cartoon Network's Courage the Cowardly Dog starring the villager Cookie, and they ask fans to "stay tuned" for more.
The vast amount of items, wallpapers, and custom design options available in the latest Animal Crossing title has made it a haven for all manner of creations. Shows like Power Rangers have also been remade in New Horizons, helped along by the existence of valuable DIY craft projects such as the Epic Robot Hero.
Of course, fellow video games also make for some impressive projects in the life simulation title. Some fans have used stop motion to recreate Tetris, while others focus more on creating outfits to replicate characters in games like Super Smash Bros. or battle mechanics from games like Pokemon.
Even with all this creativity to be found all over the Internet, the Animal Crossing intro for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made by HomemadeMartian stands out for its quality construction, and it should be fun to see what they come up with next. In the meantime, scenes from movies like Revenge of the Sith are also out there to watch for anyone who can't get enough New Horizons in their lives.
