One of the most exciting new features that was introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons' big summer update is the return of the Dream Suite feature from Animal Crossing: New Leaf. To the uninitiated, this feature allows players to visit someone else's island through dreams even if the host player is offline. Additionally, anything that visitors do on the Dream island won't have any effect in the long term, given that everything will be reset back to normal once visitors leave.

Now, with the return of Dream Islands, some Animal Crossing: New Leaf veterans decided to recreate some of the most famous Dream villages from the previous game. Of course, New Leaf players would know that the creepy Aika Village was the most popular Dream Village in New Leaf, but second to Aika Village is the Cannibal Island, which has also been remade in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. So far, it appears that the new Cannibal Island is much scarier now than Aika Village.

What To Expect in Cannibal Island?

As previously mentioned, Cannibal Island, also known as Hitokui Island, is a reimagining of a user-created village in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In this village, players will explore several houses, all of which are designed to tell the disturbing events that have occurred on the island. They will also witness several decapitated bodies or items that are made to look like decapitated corpses given that Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn't include any item in-game that are too graphic for young players.

However, this limitation did not stop the creator of this re-imagined version of Cannibal Island, especially since the game also allows players to customize their own items and furniture. There are also several rooms that are downright creepy and players will always have an uncomfortable feeling as if someone is watching them. Those who are fans of creepy and spooky content such as this will definitely enjoy Cannibal Island. As far as the story goes, it appears that the creator of the island has killed his new bride and served her body in the village's restaurant.

The New Cannibal Island Appears to be Scarier Than Aika Village

Although Aika Village remains to be the most popular Dream Destinations in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, its re-imagining doesn't seem to be at par with the original. Some players observed that several items and decorations found in the original village are no longer there in the New Horizons version, and some noted that due to the creepy and mysterious vibe was lost with New Horizons' better graphics.

However, the same cannot be said with Cannibal Island because several players were still creeped out during their visit. The sense of isolation and the perfect placement of the houses and decorations still gave the village its sinister and disturbing feel, despite the major graphical upgrade in New Horizons. Moreover, it is apparent that the creator of the island was able to take advantage of New Horizons' customization feature that allowed them to add disturbing items in the village such as decapitated bodies, bloodstains, what appears to be raw flesh, and many more.

How To Get To Cannibal Island?

To those brave players who want to see Cannibal Island for themselves, they must first ensure that their game is updated with the latest patch. Once updated, the NPC Luna, who facilitates visits to Dream Islands will be added to the game. To visit a Dream Island, players must simply sleep on any bed on the island, and instead of just lying down in bed, players will be transported to a cloud-filled area with Luna.

From there, Luna will ask players for the code to the island they wish to visit and Cannibal Island's address is as follows: DA-4088-8875-3480. One the code has been given, players will be transported to Cannibal Village, where many disturbing sceneries and characters await them.
