The new hit game of 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is at the top of everyone's list. It's the number one selling game in the UK, and fans can't get enough of wholesome island life. But not everything is sunny in paradise; players spend a lot of time crafting items with limited durability, and most are looking to speed that process up.

DIY Crafting

DIY Crafting is a big part of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Everything has Breath of the Wild-type durability, so players will have to continually make new shovels, axes, and other tools to keep interacting with the environment. Builders can craft tools at both Nook's crafting bench and at their own DIY building station, if they choose to craft one.

With a DIY bench, players can craft any number of amazing things, from campfires to magic wands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. But the crafting animation is really slow, and it takes a long time to make anything. So players should speed it up.

Speeding Up Crafting

Until players get golden tools that have much better durability, they'll need to craft nearly constantly, so speeding it up is absolutely necessary. All players have to do is press A a couple of times during the animation, and it will speed up the process enormously. In spite of rumors saying otherwise, players don't have to mash A over and over. Just tapping A will give them the same results (though feel free to keep mashing if it makes crafting feel faster).

Players have spend a lot of time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, doing everything from recreating all of Taylor Swift's album covers to recreating scenes from horror movies. So they need all the extra time they can get during building to be able to spend more time on their projects in their towns and on other islands.

It's amazing the amount of creativity that Animal Crossing allows for. It's bigger and freer than any of the series before it. There isn't a single other AC game that allows players to recreate Dragon Ball Z's Yamcha that has been beaten up, that's for sure.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available only for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.
