Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for two months now and most players have probably selected the ten villagers that they are going to live alongside with on their respective islands. Of course, given that there are 400 eligible characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, choosing those 10 lucky villagers is not an easy task. Most players would probably go for the popular villagers such as Raymond and Ankha, while others are in the hunt for the least popular characters.

Interestingly enough, the search for certain villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a huge deal in the game, which led to some clever people to put up a website that will make the hunt for a specific character much easier. In Nookazon, players can put up listings for villagers that they want to trade either in Bells, Nook Miles Tickets, or other items in the game.

RELATED: Why Ankha Is Such a Popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villager

Unsurprisingly, Raymond, Marshal, and Ankha are the most expensive villagers in Nookazon given that these characters are the most sought after in New Horizons. However, for players who aren't really interested in getting the most popular ones, and don't have the resources to spare, here are the cheapest villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Of course, players should be mindful that the prices posted in this article could change at any time.

Cally

animal crossing new horizons

Cally is a normal squirrel villager who first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, before making a return in New Horizons. Interestingly enough, Cally was also featured in other Animal Crossing games but was then known as Sally. Although it is unclear why her name was changed in New Leaf, it is likely because another villager was also named Sally. Due to her being under the normal personality type, Cally is pretty easy to befriend, and she will get along with most villagers. At the moment, her average price at Nookazon is at 990,000 bells, but there are several listings of her at the platform for far less with one offering her for a single bell. Of course, players should be wary of listings like this, given that it is likely that the person offering it could ask for more once noticed. As for Nook Miles Tickets, players can get Cally for as low as 3 NMTs, which is pretty easy to earn in the game.

Nookazon: 990,000 Bells (Average) | 1 Bell (Lowest) | 1 Nook Miles Ticket.

Cesar

Another villager that players can get for cheap at Nookazon is Animal Crossing veteran Cesar who has appeared in every single Animal Crossing game. Cesar is a cranky gorilla villager, who has a tendency to be mean to the player and other villagers during the first encounter. Moreover, Cesar tends to be grouchy and in an agitated mood, which explains why players are offering him for cheap at Nookazon. At the moment, there are several listings at Nookazon that offer Cesar for free, but again, players should be wary in dealing with these listings. Other listings value Cesar for 10 Bells or 50 Nook Miles Tickets.

Nookazon: 500,000 Bells (Average) | Free (Lowest) | 50 Nook Miles Tickets.

Derwin

Derwin is another Animal Crossing veteran who has appeared in every single game in the series, including the Japanese-exclusive predecessor to Animal Crossing called Animal Forest. Derwin is a lazy duck villager who doesn't really offer that much in conversations apart from his few interests, which are of course relaxing and eating good food. However, despite his lazy attitude, Derwin will get along with most villagers, except for Jock types given the obvious clash between their lifestyles. Currently, Derwin is available at Nookazon for as low as 50,000 Bells, though this amount may seem steep for some, it is worth remembering that popular villagers could go as high as 1 million Bells or more. Luckily enough, players who don't want to pay in Bells can also get Derwin for 1 Nook Miles Ticket.

Nookazon: 156,000 Bells (Average) | 50,000 Bells (Lowest) | 1 Nook Miles Ticket

Gruff

Gruff made his debut in the first Animal Crossing game and has since appeared in subsequent titles apart from Wild World and City Folk. He is a cranky goat villager, and similar to Cesar, Gruff can be cold and dismissive towards the player and other villagers at first. However, once befriended, Gruff will soften a bit to players and will even give them random gifts from time to time. Currently, players can get Gruff at Nookazon for as low as 10,000 Bells or 1 Nook Miles Ticket.

Nookazon: 468,000 Bells (Average) | 10,000 Bells (Lowest) | 1 Nook Miles Ticket.

Pippy

Last on the list of cheap villagers at Nookazon right now is the peppy rabbit villager Pippy. Just like the others, Pippy has been a longtime character in Animal Crossing and was featured in most games apart from the mobile title, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Due to her peppy personality, Pippy will always be motivated and full of excitement when talking to the player and other villagers. Additionally, she will always be nice to those around her and will get along with most personality types apart from those who are cranky and snooty. Players can get Pippy at Nookazon for as low as 100,000 Bells, making her the most expensive in this list. However, those who don't want to pay in Bells can also get Pippy for at least 5 Nook Miles Tickets, which are definitely more easy to get than Bells.

Nookazon: 650,000 Bells (Average) | 100,000 Bells (Lowest) | 5 Nook Miles Tickets.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
