With the arrival of April in Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes Bunny Day, an Easter-inspired holiday headlined by dancing mascot Zipper T. Bunny. Long-time veterans of the Animal Crossing series will know there's something off about Zipper, and New Horizons offers a little more for players to see.

When players first talk to Zipper, they will notice his demeanor is an act covering up the pessimistic, stressed-out thoughts of someone worried about getting ready to host the holiday on April 12. In fact the character is known for trying to draw attention away from the literal zipper on his outfit's back, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons carries on this tradition.

Zipper excitedly hops around when the player is nearby to learn about the six Bunny Day egg types hidden around their island, but he goes out of character as soon as he believes he is alone. Players can see this if they keep Zipper on the horizon with a lower camera angle, but andthejets on Twitter was able to use the Nookphone camera to catch Zipper losing his pep up close.

Despite the holiday's mascot being exhausted by his act, Zipper is still more than willing to help the player celebrate. Between Bunny Day festivities and new April creatures to catch, there's plenty of reasons to keep logging into Animal Crossing.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
