10 Placing Villagers For the Future
One thing that seems to be stressed amongst ACNH players is that even before getting the island shaping tools, players should place their villagers strategically. Placing villagers in one spot of your island and moving them later once players get the shaping tools is one of the best strategies.
Players will be relieved they did this strategy, due to the cost of moving one villager being 50,000 bells! Players want to make sure they only have to do this one time and not when they realize a villager house is in the way of their future Zen garden.
9 Plan Out Water Works
Once players get a hold of the two main tools needed to shape their island, they begin to realize it’s a lot to take on. The water shaping tool and the ground shaping tool give players a lot of control and their imagination is the only limit when it comes to layout.
Before players start building out their parks and neighborhoods it is highly encouraged that players plan where all the bodies of water will be displayed. The overarching issue for players is potentially realizing oh I really want a double stack waterfall here, but there is a villager house in the way. To avoid this, players should think about where they want that big pond or waterfall for the town hall.
8 Consider The Needs of Future Builds
Sometimes a lightning bolt of inspiration will hit half way through an islands journey and reworking everything that has so far been built is a truly exhausting taks. Players are not really going to be thinking about this in the beginning especially since they get the nook and cranny the earliest out of the buildings. Some structures, such as shopping areas, require more space than you might have left and reconstruction will be in order.
However, every player should be prepared to move their buildings at some point during their island renovations.
7 Placing Statues
Statues look amazing throughout ACNH players' islands. They are also somewhat hard to obtain and can cost a lot. Putting these on display not only looks great but increases your Island score. However, players have been getting creative when it comes to the placement of these statues and other Landmarks.
Putting them in front of waterfalls or in the middle of ponds is a great highlight and can make those structures pop on players' islands. So, plan ahead and save spaces in front of those waterfalls when you get that exquisite centerpiece.
6 Making a Garden
Gardens are the gems of every player's island. Since players can flex their garden skills by messing with hybrid colors having a space to show off their gold rose is a must. When players plan out space for their flowers, they are not only considering the best display for them but also a place for them the populate and for villagers to water them as well.
Beautiful ACNH gardens have made some player islands famous on the internet. So, if you want a garden to talk about plan out enough space for them so they breed easily.
5 Building Around Town Hall
Some players will be shocked when they realize they can’t move the town hall where Tom Nook and Isabell work. However, there are ACNH players who knew this, so they reset their games until the town hall fell directly in the front of the path to the airport.
Now, other players may not be that concerned about where their town hall falls but staying aware of where it is in regards to players' ground scaping is a must. The town hall can block your view so you may want to keep in mind what goes behind it. It is also the first thing your visiting friends may see, so try to plan your main attraction around it.
4 Plan the Neighborhoods
Players of ACNH look forward to inviting their favorite villagers to move to their island, and what better way to showcase them than with an amazing neighborhood. Yes, therefore players should think ahead in the early game when it comes to placing villagers.
Players will realize the burden of moving all of their villagers over time as they layout their maps. Players will also have to consider if they want their villagers on a higher cliff, which leads us to inclines and bridges!
3 Plan for Incline and bridges
Another expensive infrastructure to plan for is inclines and bridges. These structures allow villagers to get to higher levels of the island. So if players want to have that neighborhood above the waterfalls they will need to plan out where all the bridges and inclines may need to go.
Players are able to put down inclines and bridges before they are able to shape the island. So, players can use them to help plan out the foundation of their island layout.
2 Plot the Playing Filed
They are a variety of activities players can play with their friends on each other's islands. From star gazing to bury the treasure, the fun on player island is as awesome as your imagination can make it. Players can take it a step further and shape the island to make it more interactive.
Forming pads of grass in the middle of the water is a fun idea you can plan for since player characters can hop over small sections of water. Obstacles course, hopscotch, there is a lot to plan for once you have these tools.
1 Forest and Tree farm
Now players have different strategies when it comes to the fruit trees and wood material trees on their island. Some players clear out all their trees, either storing them or destroying them and wait for them to grow back. Other players plot all their fruit trees together and make a short fruit farm.
Players may also cluster the trees to make a magical forest with the items made from wishing stars. The world is your oyster or better yet your Island!
