Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that is built on the central idea of creativity. With so much freedom of choice in terms of how to customize and build any given player's island, Animal Crossing: New Horizons serves as a perfect outlet for players to express their creativity. Though, one player has managed to go above and beyond in that regard.

Since the game first launched back in March, several players have managed to push the game's boundaries in new and exciting directions. There are so many ways for players to customize various facets of the game. For instance, one player actually managed to recreate the Warner siblings from Animaniacs as player avatars. Although, one player has managed something much more ambitious in terms of their island.

A Twitter user simply named mel created an extensive boat dock on their island. While players can swim in Animal Crossing, boats cannot be created in-game. However, mel was able to work around this by creating boats on top of the land itself. Mel managed to terraform their island into the shape of boats and then set their "ships" on top to make it look like the boats are sitting in the water.

Mel then proceeded to build makeshift ships on top of the outline they made in the ground using various assets found in the game. There are many methods for players to utilize to make the perfect island getaway in Animal Crossing. but this is taking things to a whole new level. Perhaps other players will start to follow suit and create even more intricate boat docks.

It really is amazing the extent to which people have managed to envision and execute magnificent creations such as this one. In fact, this actually goes well past buildings and custom clothing. Some players have even managed to recreate video clips and openings from popular shows. One player even managed to recreate the Power Rangers opening in Animal Crossing.

In any case, it will be interesting to see if mel's creation will impact the community or even the game itself. Animal Crossing already has Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler, so fans can dream that Nintendo will implement some kind of sailing mechanic. That could potentially lead to more dynamic gameplay elements, such as houseboats, or maybe there could be other landmasses surrounding players' islands. Only time will tell if Nintendo decides to implement something that different in terms of what's already present in the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
