Animal Crossing has always had great seasonal items. Halloween, Christmas, and even Valentine's Day have seen new items to fill a player's home. The trend has continued to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since its release, Nintendo has been providing continuous updates, some of which have included new holiday items for players to get.

The newest update brought a new set of spooky items, and with Christmas coming around the corner, what better time to dwell on the past seasonal items in hopes that a few of them make their returns.

10 Creepy Coffin

Nintendo should replace the spooky set with the previously used creepy set

Halloween just passed, but that doesn't mean everyone has stopped talking about the spooky items that existed for a brief time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The spooky set may have been great, but it really is a shame that parts of the creepy set didn't make it in.

In this case, "parts" means all of it. Halloween just wouldn't be complete without a coffin, yet Nintendo never added the creepy coffin back in. Now, what will players use to decorate their haunted houses?

9 Jingle Wardrobe

Animal Crossing New Horizons Jingle items haven't appeared yet

Christmas is coming soon. The stores have already started blasting jingle bells, so what better time to mention an item (or several) from the Jingle set. New Leaf had this great series that players could receive, and one of its best items was the wardrobe.

The set featured red and green colors that really captured the Christmas spirit. Hopefully, Nintendo brings back the color scheme and a wardrobe that will help players get into their Christmas attire. Only time will tell.

8 Egg Clock

Zipper may have improved but the quality of his items hasn't

Bunny Day in New Horizons brought in everyone's favorite character, with obvious sarcasm, Zipper. This creepy bunny bounced around and told players where to find eggs to make the new Bunny Day items. These items were a little bit different than previous game items.

Back in the day, Animal Crossing had egg items that were a little bit better. One of these items was the Egg Clock, which featured an egg-shaped clock in a bird's nest. The Egg Clock was far better than the new Edd Wall Clock in New Horizons.

7 Harvest Bed

New Horizons fall items are cute but the harvest series would be nice to have again

Fall items have been added to New Horizons and while they are cute, they don't exactly match what previous games have done. One item that would be nice to see brought back is the Harvest Bed. This item graced homes across the world with its lovely purple hue and simple design.

More of the harvest set should make a debut, but more on that to come. For now, players should simply hope that Nintendo brings back this gem during the next fall season.

6 Creepy Skeleton

Nintendo is missing out by not adding the creepy set to new horizons

What is more Halloween than a creepy skeleton? After all, Halloween is all about spooky and creepy things. It would be nice to see Nintendo bring back some real spooky items from yesteryear for 2021's holiday.

If this item gets brought back it would look perfect with some Western-style Stones. Crafty players could finally create a graveyard for their island or even a spooky maze filled with skeletons. The possibilities are endless.

5 Creepy Stone

The old creepy set is far better than the new spooky set in animal crossing new horizons

What could go good with that skeleton? A Creepy Stone, that's what. This is really two items in one considering there was once the regular Creepy Stone and the Creepy Bat Stone. Both of them were nothing more than graves, but they are far better than the Western-style Stone that is currently in New Horizons.

If Nintendo were to bring both these items back, players could make a real spooky graveyard that will really bring out the true nature of Halloween in 2021. Just don't forget the candy.

4 Egg Bed

There is no doubt that the old easter items in animal crossing were better

It's a real shame that the new egg-themed items aren't what they used to be. Back in the day, everything looked so much nicer, which is also the case with the Egg Bed.

From its colors to the eggs on the blanket, this piece of furniture just screams Easter. It was perfect for any player that wanted to really get into the Easter spirit. Players need to start messaging Nintendo more so they don't send more unworthy Easter items with the next spring update.

3 Harvest Rug

The previous harvest series allowed players to decorate a home with new furniture

The Harvest Rug is another entry in the list of fall-themed items of Animal Crossing's past. This rug was a great addition to the homes of many players who loved the Harvest Set. It's too bad that the new fall items don't have a rug.

Nintendo did manage to add in some nice wallpaper and flooring to New Horizons, but they just aren't the same. Maybe next fall players will receive some new items that will help them bring in the fall season and get set up for Thanksgiving.

2 Jingle Bed

Hopefully Nintendo will bring back the Jingle set from New Leaf

Santa Claus is coming tonight and there is no better place to rest while waiting for the jolly old man than in the Jingle Bed. Well, that was true in New Leaf, but who knows if this lovable bed will make it into New Horizons.

As shown, Nintendo isn't too keen on bringing back old items for use in the newest game, so players may not get a chance to rest up for Toy Day anymore. Hopefully, Nintendo brings back more of the jingle set when Christmas rolls around, but it isn't looking like they will.

1 Creepy Cauldron

The Spooky set from new leaf felt more like halloween than the one in new horizons

Rounding out the creepy items that have gone missing in New Horizons is the Creepy Cauldron. Nintendo can be excused for not bringing back the Creepy Clock, Crystal, or Statue, but cauldrons have been a symbol of Halloween for as long as it's been a holiday.

The Spooky set from New Horizons just doesn't match up to the Creepy set and it deserves to be brought back. All of these integral parts of Halloween have gone missing and justice needs to be served.
