While the Dream Suite may be the most important feature added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its Summer Update Wave 2, it is certainly not the only piece of new content to be found in this recent patch. Case in point: five different balloons can now be obtained in ACNH, and indeed many players will want to get some of these new items for themselves.

To get balloons in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, fans must first be present for a Fireworks Show. These special shows take place on Sundays in August, and they begin at 7pm. For full clarity, this year's Fireworks Shows will occur on August 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, giving players five opportunities to procure balloons and other seasonal items.

Once a player has confirmed that a Fireworks Show is indeed in progress, they should then make their way to the front of Resident Services. Here fans will find that Redd has set up a small booth, and interacting with this stand will start a dialogue that will eventually allow the player to enter Redd's Raffle. Each entry into Redd's Raffle costs 500 Bells and rewards fans with a random prize.

In total, there are 12 items that players can win from Redd's Raffle, and five of those items are balloons. As such, players that would like some balloons in Animal Crossing: New Horizons should simply keep entering the raffle until they receive the colors and quantity that they want. For those fans that are curious, the balloons that can be won in this fashion come in blue, red, yellow, green, and pink, and they are assigned the numbers eight through 12.

With respect to what can be done with these balloons in ACNH, players can either place them as decoration or carry them around. That said, fans that go with the second option may not want to wear a King Tut mask in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as tripping while holding a balloon will cause the item to float away and be lost forever. While this may not be the greatest tragedy, it is worth knowing about since these balloons do have limited availability.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
