Nintendo’s Animal Crossing lineup of video games has introduced a lot of lovable special characters throughout the years. With close to 500 Animal Crossing villagers, the player base is likely bound to find one, or several, that they adore, and truly resonate with. Recently, a creative fan shared how they lovingly recreated some of the game's special villagers through the use of colored clay.

Though Animal Crossing: New Horizons brought back many of the series' well-known villagers, it also introduced a bunch of new ones. Additionally, the latest ACNH 2.0 free update introduced nine more villagers that can be invited to a player's island, making a total of 17 new faces that are exclusive to the Switch-only title. But island residents were not the only new characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo also brought to life new special villagers such as Flick, C.J., Daisy Mae, Harvey, Wilbur, Orville, and more. These NPCs also likely hold a special place in the hearts of players, as they offer a lot of services that make living on the island much more interesting.

In fact, one fan seems to take their love for the new ACNH special villagers to another level, by recreating them in real life by sculpting them with clay. On Reddit, user Bob0164 shared a photo of their collection of Animal Crossing clay dolls. Each of them looks meticulously handcrafted, and seem quite accurate to their in-game versions. Bob0164 seems to have made 10 figures altogether, and some fans will notice that the artist already included the newly introduced special villager Kapp'n in their lineup of clay dolls.

Fellow Animal Crossing fans complimented the artist's works, with some commenting that they look like actual figures. Bob0164 mentioned that they did not have to paint on the clay dolls. Instead, they used a specific brand of South Korean clay to mold the characters. This explains why the sculpts look very smooth and well-made. One user even commented that they especially loved the artist's rendition of the Dodo brothers, who are normally found in every ACNH island airport.

The Redditor seems to be quite fond of making custom clay figures of their favorite video game characters. In other posts on the online platform, they shared photos of popular characters from series such as Super Mario and Starwolf. Hopefully they keep getting inspired, and that this is not the last the community will see of their Animal Crossing hand sculpted clay dolls.
