A member of the Animal Crossing community has been recreating villagers and placing them in beautiful scenarios as they leave a Nintendo DS. Animal Crossing: New Horizons entered the hearts of many gamers when it came out; it was released at a time when the world needed it most, and it truly helped a lot of players. Although New Horizons won't receive any new content updates, its community is still quite active.

Animal Crossing has always given players a lot of freedom to make their own creations, and New Horizons has particularly excelled at this, as even though it's been nearly three years since it first launched gamers are constantly sharing their remarkable Animal Crossing islands and other real-life art. It's inspiring to think that even after all this time, this community continues to mash their art with such a wholesome game.

Reddit user oops_deepdived has been sharing their creations on the Animal Crossing subreddit, and it's been a hit among the community. This fan has recreated models of two fan-favorite villagers, Goldie and Marshal, and placed each of them on a Nintendo DS Lite shell with decorations to match their look and personality. Goldie is quite similar to a Golden Retriever and wears autumnal-colored clothing, so her garden has many pebbles and orange trees. Marshal is a smug squirrel villager that wears stronger colors, so his garden is darker with purple and red flowers.

When they first shared their Goldie scenario, some members of the subreddit were alarmed and thought that oops_deepdived had destroyed a perfectly good DS Lite in order to create their thematic garden, so in their second post they made it clear that no consoles were harmed in the making of their art and that it was just a console shell. Sometimes Animal Crossing players enjoy bringing real-life elements into the game, and this fan decided to do the exact opposite and take Animal Crossing elements and bring them into the real world.

The two posts were so well received by the community that some fans even started asking for these sorts of creations, but with Pokemon instead of Animal Crossing villagers. At the moment, it's uncertain what the future holds for the Animal Crossing franchise, but until there's a new entry to this series, players will undoubtedly continue to stick with Animal Crossing: New Horizons to get as much as they can out of the game as they let their creativity run wild.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for Nintendo Switch.
