The Animal Crossing: New Horizons community can be a creative bunch. Recently a fan created Bower's castle within New Horizons, for example. The game itself allows for so much artistry, so players often use the game, its villagers, and more as a backdrop for creativity. The most recent example involves Celeste, the stargazing owl.
Recently, Redditor u/Mr_Pioupiou uploaded a post to r/AnimalCrossing of a quite remarkable creation. The artists made a candle jar based on Celeste from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The jar shows the owl staring up at the stars above while a meteor shoots through the sky. The same artists that made a Switch dock based on the Boutique Nook has another hit post, as this one has been showered with love from fans.
Mr_Pioupiou explained the process behind making the jar in the comment section of the Reddit post. The jar itself was simply painted black, which gives it a sleek nighttime look. However, a CO2 laser was used as well for the etching. There are two images for the Celeste candle jar, one with a light inside of it and one without. The image without the light off shows the sheer detail, but the image with the light on the inside of it and shining through it is especially gorgeous. The artwork is truly a beautiful representation of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
On top of the post itself, the artist has a shop where fans can look into items like this and similar candle jars, Pokemon mugs, the Boutique Nook Switch dock, and more. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in particular, provides plenty of opportunity for creativity. And this is not even the first time a fan has used the owl creatively, as someone made Animal Crossing: New Horizons Celeste shoes in the past as well.
Celeste is the sister of Blathers, the owl who runs the Musem in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and who has a massive role in the game. Celeste is a little bit of a mystery in New Horizons, as she appears during meteor showers and can help with DIYs in the game. In other games, she has assisted her brother in the museum running the observatory.
Many of the Celeste-based DIYs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be exciting to collect, but mainly fans enjoy Celeste for her enthusiasm in the stars above. So many of the Villagers in the Animal Crossing games are beloved thanks to their unique characteristics, personalities, and infatuations. In the case of Celeste, the Owl's love of constellations shines through.
