The vast world of Animal Crossing features tons of adorable animal villagers that all have their own little personalities and unique styles. However, there are a few villagers that stand out from the rest. Most villagers don't have any default clothes that they maintain on their character model when changing into a new set of clothes, as well as any headgear.

Agent S sports a bit of a different look from her other animal friends and there's a bit of lore that explains her unique appearance. Here are a few things most Animal Crossing fans may not already know about Agent S.

10 She First Appeared In Animal Forest e+

The original Nintendo 64 game in Japan eventually came out with a port to the GameCube. With that port came an exclusive update, Dobutsu no Mori e+, which English-speaking fans refer to as Animal Forest e+.

Agent S is much older than many Western fans may first assume, as her first appearance was all the way back in 2003's Animal Forest e+. For American fans, her first appearance was made in Animal Crossing: Wild World, in 2005.

9 Her Style Changed Drastically Over The Years

As far as Agent S's appearance in the newest title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the cheery squirrel wasn't always the jock everyone came to love. Her choice of furniture consisted of the Cabana series for the most part during her appearances in Animal Forest e+, Wild World, and City Folk. However, from Animal Crossing: New Leaf to the current New Horizons release, she's undergone a drastic change in taste.

Agent S went from a cozy cabin vibe with the Cabana series to styling her humble abode with multiple furniture sets to create her now-signature jock vibe. It seems as if she truly invested every second of her time into the hero life.

8 She's The Second Of The Superhero Villagers

Fans may notice that Agent S has a unique look among the rest of her animal friends. However, she isn't the only villager that sports this unique superhero look.

Agent S is actually the second of the superhero villagers featured throughout the Animal Crossing series. So far, there are a total of seven superhero villagers: Kid Cat, Agent S, Big Top, Rocket, Victoria, Mira, and Frilly.

Kid Cat, Agent S, Big Top, and Rocket all first appear in numbered outfits as their default clothes. Perhaps they've all coordinated to form a big (and adorable) superhero team.

7 Pocket Camp Suggests She's A True Hero Now

In Agent S's appearance in Happy Home Designer, she requests a superhero training area as the motif for her home. At that point she seems to be in training, however, by her Pocket Camp appearance, it seems as if she's fulfilled her dream.

Once the player meets Agent S in Pocket Camp, her profile reads, "With her boundless energy and small size, Agent S is invaluable in the battle against injustice. Look out evildoers! (You may have to squint.)"

Despite her small size, it seems as if Agent S has finally finished her training and graduated to become a true hero.

6 She's A "Peppy" Type Squirrel

There are a variety of personality types found throughout the Animal Crossing series. Male and female villagers can fall under four personality types each in New Horizons, combining for a total of eight. This allows for an array of unique villagers that range from lazy cats to smug bunnies.

The beloved Agent S happens to be a peppy squirrel. A rather fitting personality type for a superhero like herself, fighting evil with a smile on.

5 What The "S" In Her Name Stands For Is Unknown

There's no explicit information given to indicate what the "S" in Agent S's name stands for; however many fans speculate that it may stand for "squirrel." As that may be an obvious answer, the other possibility is a bit more interesting as fans also speculate that it may actually stand for "sidekick."

"Sidekick" is actually Agent S's catchphrase, so perhaps Agent S and Kid Cat are a crimefighting duo.

4 Her Birthday Is July 2nd

Every adorable Animal Crossing villager has an official birthdate and Agent S happens to be born on July 2, making her a Cancer. It's always a good idea to do gift shopping ahead of time to ensure no animal friends are forgotten on their special day.

When it comes to picking out a gift for Agent S, focus on fitness-themed goods that reflect her favorite colors, blue and black.

3 Her Japanese Name Is "Ni Go"

Another little detail that supports the theory that Agent S is Kid Cat's sidekick and that the "S" in her name stands for "sidekick" as well is her Japanese name.

In the Japanese version of the game, Agent S is "Ni Go," which roughly translates into "#2." This theory makes perfect sense as Kid Cat sports gear that has the "#1" on it.

2 She Has A Short Attention Span

Most likely due to her peppy personality type, Agent S happens to be a bit forgetful. She often forgets arguments she has or any unfinished favors asked of the player.

But don't be cruel and take advantage of her! Make sure to finish any favors or tasks the superhero squirrel asks of the player; Agent S may have a short attention span but that doesn't mean she'll forget acts of kindness.

1 The Blue Parts Of Her Limbs Are A Permanent Part Of Her Design

Being a superhero means being ready to fight off evildoers at any moment, and Agent S has this rule down for sure. No matter what clothes are given to her, the dark blue parts of her limbs always remain the same dark blue she sports on her helmet.

While likely not actually part of her body (do animals dye their fur in the Animal Crossing world?), it seems as if the superhero suit is an absolute must for the incredibly dedicated Agent S.
