- Grasshopper Manufacture has developed a game for iOS where all proceeds will go to Japanese recovery efforts. Despite the name of the developer, the game is actually called Frog Minutes. Don't let the title stray you away, however, since there are plenty of grasshoppers and other bugs in the game. The game has you aid the frogs to eat up the bugs, all to fatten the frogs making it easier to catch them. You get stats for each frog you catch, making it a casual title. The game is $0.99 and for a great cause.
- We almost lost all Star Wars content from iOS! Earlier this week it was announced that Falcon Gunner, an augmented reality Star Wars title, was going to be pulled from the app store due to it's franchise license expiring. The next day, it was rumored that all Star Wars games were going to disappear. Fret not, fellow fanboys, because the air has since been cleared and our games from a galaxy far far away will remain.
- Rovio has revealed that their recent release, Angry Birds Rio, has already reached 10 million downloads. Not surprising for an Angry Birds title, but the wow factor is that this was accomplished in only 10 days.
- The Android Marketplace now supports in-app billing, meaning your games can have paid upgrades and good within the app.

OpenFeint's VP of Marketing, Eros Resmini, speaks about recent partnerships with AT&T and The9:
At first, indie game developers chose iOS because it was the easiest way to distribute their games. As Google has improved the Android Marketplace and we’ve introduced game discovery and porting opportunities with AT&T and The9, iOS developers are more and more interested in Android.
The OpenFeint platform is the largest social gaming platform and supports over 5,000 games across iOS and Android. OpenFeint is backed by Intel Capital and The9.
