Angry Birds Space Steam PC Release

Angry Birds is a game about very angry birds. A simple concept we know, but this franchise has turned into a worldwide phenomenon. The game is based around the battle between the eponymous angry birds, and the pigs who want to steal their eggs.

The birds then try to get their eggs back by shooting themselves out of slingshots to take down the pigs’ defensive constructs. Simple as the concept may be, the game is wildly addicting and has provided gamers of all sorts with hours of endless entertainment.

Rovio is always finding new ways to spice up their flagship property: with new levels and exciting themes for the game to take place in. It started off with the release of the second game, Angry Birds Seasons, which was also a success and paved the way for future sequels and movie deals with 20th Century Fox’s, Rio, and even the critically acclaimed Star Wars.

And now we have news that Steam players will have the chance to get their hands on what is widely considered to be one of the best entries in the series, Angry Birds Space. This entry has our intrepid avian heroes blasting off to the cosmos to rescue their eggs from the evil space pigs. The game also introduces a new bird type in the form of an ice cube bird, which freezes anything it touches, thus making it easier to reach those dastardly swine.

Never before has an Angry Birds game been featured on the biggest PC gaming platform in the world and with the first being what is considered to be one of the best in the franchise, we are sure to see the others launch their way to Steam soon. Angry Birds fans everywhere can rejoice knowing they can now play Angry Birds straight from the comfort of the steam store.

The game will be available for $5, or normal retail price for the game, but it is on sale for the first week of release for $4 (20% off).
