The third and possibly final MCU Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, is coming out this December, and it's hard to think of another comic book movie in recent memory that has been this plagued with casting rumors. From a still rumored cameo from Daredevil star Charlie Cox to Alfred Molina straight up spilling the beans that he was reprising his role as Doc Ock, Spider-Man: No Way Home has certainly been in the news a lot. To add further fuel to the fire, there's now a new unconfirmed video that purports to show The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield reprising his role as the web-slinger on the set of No Way Home.

Garfield first portrayed Peter Parker/ Spider-Man in the 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and once again in 2014 for the sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While Garfield's performance was largely commended by fans and general audiences, both films didn't perform as well as their predecessors, and once Tom Holland was cast as Spidey in the MCU, it seemed like Garfield's days as the teenage superhero were over. However, with the MCU's recent plunge into the Multiverse, that door has been opened again.

We already know from the record-breaking first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer that Alfred Molina will be reprising his role as Doctor Octopus, the character he first played in the Tobey Maguire sequel Spider-Man 2. It's also been confirmed that Jamie Fox will be returning as Electro, the supervillain he played in the second Garfield Spider-Man film. However, given the fact that there have been multiple Spider-Men littered throughout the multiverse in both the comics and other media, fans are expecting an appearance from Maguire and Garfield as well. While no official confirmation has been made, with the actors playing coy and the studio being tight-lipped, there's been no shortage of rumors and alleged set photos/videos popping up online, including this one.

This video comes to us from Instagram user @Spider-Fan and shows what appears to be Garfield dawning his Spider-Man costume, standing in front of a blue screen on what might be a bridge or scaffolding of some kind. His mask is off, and he appears to be talking to someone. It should be emphasized that this footage is unconfirmed and could be fake. Perhaps it's simply behind-the-scenes footage from The Amazing Spider-Man? That being said, if it is fake, it's impressive. There's also one key detail that may hint at its validity, and that's the identity of the person he's talking to.

If you look closely, you can see the hands of the figure he's talking to and it looks like none other than another Spider-Man, perhaps played by Holland or Maguire. Now, this could just be old footage of Garfield talking to a stunt double, but it looks pretty legit. It's a running joke at this point that Garfield and McGuire are going to appear in this movie. We all know it, just no official announcement has been made and no official footage has been shown.

It's looking like fans will just have to wait and see when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theatres on December 17th, 2021.
