Andrew Garfield continues to have one of the biggest peaks of his career, thanks in part to his appearance in the record-breaking Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now, Garfield has once again addressed the rumors about The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

After starring in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and the letdown that is The Amazing Spider-Man 2, many fans thought Garfield's time as the iconic web-slinger was over. But with Spider-Man: No Way Home centering on the multiverse, Garfield was able to reprise his wall-crawler role, and his emotional and youthful performance was immediately praised by critics and fans.

Now, many people continue pushing for him to finally get his much-deserved third solo outing. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet before the Oscars 2022, Garfield was asked if there are any recent updates regarding The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Garfield admitted that there is nothing to share, also adding that "No one's going to believe anything I say ever again, that's my problem." His response comes after the actor revealed that he was forced to lie many times about his surprise role in No Way Home right up to the film's release back in December, admitting that the process was strangely enjoyable.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is very possible, considering the growing number of characters crossing over between the MCU and the Sony Spider-Man Universe. So, it's entirely possible that fans can see Garfield donning the suit again on the big screen at some point in another crossover event similar to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Chances are Garfield would be willing to return, especially since he already shared that he would like to work with his co-stars Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland on more Spider-Man films.

Even with Holland also showing his support for Garfield possibly returning for a third entry, his return to the big screen won't likely happen anytime soon, especially since he's gearing up for the release of his new true-crime drama miniseries, Under the Banner of Heaven. But either way, fans will continue waiting anxiously for him to don the suit another time in The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available on digital platforms.
