CONTENT WARNING: DOMESTIC ABUSEA couple of days ago, popular Twitch streamer Amouranth revealed that she had a husband who was abusive, while on stream. Her official channel does not contain these clips anymore, but they spread online like wildfire. Amouranth showed abusive text messages from her husband, spoke with him on the phone where he can be heard saying nasty things, and revealed that he dominated her approach to streaming.

For example, he would not let her reveal that she was married and also stated that he forced her to "commit to the grind" of the controversial Twitch hot tub meta. Since then, Amouranth has not appeared on Twitch, but her content team did make a post confirming she was physically okay at the time. In turn, many streamers who knew Amouranth attempted wellness checks. Police were reportedly called to Amouranth's house too, again for wellness checks. Two days after the reveal, however, Amouranth did appear on stream and revealed a few emotional details about her path forward.

During her return stream, she reveals she thinks that hearing his voice in those clips and streams made him realize just how abusive he really was. Obviously, that doesn't justify his actions, but Amouranth seems to be relieved by the fact. She has access to her accounts again, something her partner has dominated throughout her career it seems, and they are both seeking help. She keeps it that simple in regard to her husband but states that she is "seeking legal and emotional counsel." Those interested in a partial clip of this stream can check it out HERE.

She revealed that dealing with everything has been her main reason for not appearing on stream, with her receiving a ton of visitors, cop calls, and more. She describes the current situation as "calm." "I'm positive about the future, I'm happy that I'm free. I'm glad the dogs are okay." As to future streams, Amouranth says she's going to take it easy "at least for now" and doesn't know when/if she'll return to a full-time schedule. She hopes to do a lot more animal-related streams on Twitch and joked that she looks forward to "wearing clothes" moving forward, with the insinuation being that much of her content was forced by her husband.

Amouranth has received a ton of support from fellow Twitch streamers and fans throughout all of this, and that'll no doubt continue. Whatever she does decide, many are happy that things seem to be safe and calm.
