Streamer Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa recently criticized Twitch's banning policy. One of the top names on Amazon's platform, Amouranth has had her share of controversies starring in her broadcasts such as "hot tub streams." For the streamer "life is better" after doing fewer such streams, and although Amouranth does not have an exclusivity contract with Twitch, she still streams on the platform.

Amouranth is the only female Twitch streamer in the top 100 list and became known for her ASMR streams. This type of stream is focused solely on producing sounds such as whispers, accents, clicks, and other sounds that give a "brain massage." Amouranth has also gone viral on Twitch with hot tub streams where streamers spend hours in pools/tubs interacting with the audience. No stranger to controversy, Amouranth recently answered what she thinks about how Twitch applies bans.

During an interview with Full Squad Gaming, Amouranth answered a question about her controversial moments and Twitch's controversial moments in general. The streamer said she hates the banning policy and revealed that the Trust and Safety team, responsible for the platform's bans, refuses to communicate with Partner Managers about what streamers have done wrong and for what they have been banned. Announced in 2020, this team is responsible for maintaining the safety and integrity of Twitch by helping with actions such as promoting healthy streaming habits, and creating or updating existing policies. Twitch gave DMCA strikes without specifying the content, reinforcing Siragusa's point about the staff's lack of communication.

According to Amouranth, if a streamer has a Partner Manager, the intermediary between streamers and Twitch staff, they often cannot tell what the streamer did wrong, just that there was a violation in a generic category. She also explained that Partner Managers end up being of little help to streamers in suspension cases specifically because they do not receive any information from Trust and Safety. Another successful name in the ASMR category, Indiefoxx revealed why Twitch banned her permanently.

Amouranth is also no stranger to bans on Twitch, having been suspended five times on the platform, although all the suspensions were temporary. Coupled with her prominence on the platform, the streamer's statement is sure to get the public debating the issue. Ryan "Chap" Chaplo recently accused Twitch of disabling ads on his channel for something he didn't do and being less than transparent with him on the matter. Twitch continues to work to make the platform a less toxic environment not only for the public but also for streamers.
