Twitch streamer Amouranth is easily one of the most popular and well-known streamers on the entire platform, but eventually, she will have to retire. Amouranth has been candidly discussing her finances on her personal Twitter account, and in a series of tweets, she explained what will need to happen for her to retire from streaming and content creation completely.

Amouranth explained that she will continue to do Twitch streaming and other content creation for as long as possible, up until it "doesn't make sense anymore," i.e., she's not making enough money doing it or her passive income overtakes the money she makes from streaming. She explained that the only way that her passive income streams will overtake her active income is if her popularity dips or if her investments start bringing in enough.

In a follow-up tweet, Amouranth said that she has already saved enough money to never have to work again. The Twitch data leak confirmed that Amouranth has made millions of dollars from the streaming platform alone, and that doesn't even take into account the other ways she makes money, so she's definitely not bluffing. In any case, part of Amouranth's retirement plan is to put the money she's earned to work, growing her wealth by making investments that in turn bring in some passive income streams, and eventually opening an animal shelter that she can fund and doesn't have to rely on donations to stay open.

As far as passive income goes, Amouranth has shared some of the passive income streams she's set up. For instance, Amouranth owns at least two gas stations at this point, including a 7-Eleven that she's part-owner of, with both serving as potential passive income streams. Amouranth is also able to use her gas station investments to help with her federal income tax bill, which will reportedly be in the neighborhood of $6 million for this year.

Amouranth remains one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and so it's unlikely that she will be retiring anytime soon. Of course, it's always possible that Twitch will force her off before she has the chance to retire on her own terms. Twitch has banned Amouranth numerous times for a variety of reasons, and there's a chance one of the bans could stick.

Twitch has reversed Amouranth's bans everytime they've happened, though, probably because she is such a popular figure on the platform. Whatever the case may be, Amouranth fans shouldn't have to worry about her retiring anytime soon.
