Q2 2022 viewership statistics for the streaming platform were collected late last month by StreamHatchet, showing that Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa continues to beat out competition like Pokimane as Twitch's top female streamer - to some people's surprise. StreamCharts recorded 8.38 million hours watched on Amouranth's channel during Q2 2022, as opposed to 4.53 million hours for Pokimane. There's likely a good few reasons why she's pulling ahead of the competition.
Amouranth's Successful Strategies
Amouranth claimed 56th place among all male and female Twitch streamers in terms of watch time, according to StreamHatchet. The streamer is certainly no stranger to this success, as she has been a popular name ever since she started Twitch in 2016. It was previously reported by sites like Ginx that she was also among the top-earning 0.01 percent of creators on OnlyFans, making over $1.5 million every month.
Amouranth's rise to fame could be attributed to some amount of luck, but it's a unique blend of content creation techniques that have kept her in the spotlight. Perhaps the biggest help is the fact that Amouranth is able to stream consistently, which has built her a loyal audience. She streams nearly every day, around 70 hours-per-week, with an average of almost 9,000 viewers according to TwitchMetrics.
While sticking to a streaming schedule is already a powerful asset for growing a community, Amouranth's ability to dominate controversial Twitch metas and transition from one category to another is nearly unparalleled. While she first rose to prominence for her cosplay and ASMR, she's managed to gain experience in a large variety of different categories including Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos, as well as games like Just Dance.
Amouranth has been able to create a community that is interested in her personality and content. Over the years, the streamer has become incredibly adept at finding popular metas and becoming a top performer in them. This is seen in her performance within both the Twitch hot tub streams and the ASMR trends of 2021. At the moment, Amouranth can be seen doing shower streams in a bikini or playing games like Raid 4.

According to the Stream Hatchet report, 99 of the top 100 streamers on Twitch were male in Q2 2022. Hopefully Amouranth maintaining a spot among these top streamers will open the door to others.
