A new update from Amouranth's content lead says that the popular Twitch streamer was visited by police "multiple times" after an emotionally-charged livestream where she accused her husband of abuse. Amouranth recently streamed an intense phone conversation with her husband, accusing him of threatening to kill her dogs, while also sharing abusive text messages that he allegedly sent her.

The text messages said to be from Amouranth's husband included threats like having her horse sent to a meatpacking plant, purposefully wasting their money, and throwing her merchandise off a hotel balcony. Apparently, Amouranth's husband has a great deal of control over the couple's finances, as their accounts have been set up with two-factor authorization using his information. Amouranth hasn't made any social media posts or participated in any Twitch streams since then.

Understandably, Amouranth's fans and fellow content creators have been concerned for her wellbeing in the wake of the incident. Amouranth's content lead, known on Twitter as TheRealMarzbar, said that people from her team were able to talk to her and that she "says she's fine." According to TheRealMarzbar, police visited Amouranth's residence "multiple times," but she has been telling them she is OK and so there is nothing they can do. "She spent all day talking to her husband to sort things out," TheRealMarzbar said, ending the statement by saying that they were unsure of anything else that can be done about the situation at this time and sharing the Domestic Violence Support number.

Prior to the livestream, many of Amouranth's fans were completely unaware that she was married or in any kind of relationship at all. This was by design, as Amouranth revealed in the livestream. Amouranth explained that she wanted to tell everyone that she was married, as she thought it would help her relationship, but that her husband wanted everyone to think she was single as part of her "business model."

It's unclear what is going to happen with Amouranth moving forward, and when exactly she will return to content creation. It's possible that she will take an extended break from Twitch and other platforms to deal with these personal issues, or she may wind up coming back sooner than expected. Amouranth is one of the most-viewed Twitch streamers with one of the platform's largest fanbases by a considerable margin, and it's likely they will flock back to her channel as soon as she returns.
