Fan-made content often impresses other members of a game's community, given how devoted to detail amateur creators can be. One Among Us fan brings the recently-popular social deduction game off of people's screens and into their living rooms, and that has led to some very positive reactions from fellow players.

Among Us came out over two years ago, but it has seen a huge boost in popularity during the months of August and September. The game provides players with a Mafia-like social manipulation experience, where they try to complete various minigames around a space ship while rooting out one or more imposters. Those imposters attempt to sabotage the ship and murder their crewmates.

The game is only available on mobile devices and Steam, but one Reddit user named jiacovetto imagines Among Us as a traditional party game that makes playing the imposter a different kind of challenge. They posted a fully-detailed game board using official art, alongside spaces for a deck of task cards, a voting checkbox, and a meter to judge how many tasks are left to be completed. Players complete tasks via randomly drawn cards that players can either succeed or fail at, and a sand timer keeps track of how much time is left in the game.

Among Us 2 may have been cancelled, but judging by the positive response to this tabletop board game on Reddit, it may be an interesting direction for developer InnerSloth to go in next. The user has made no indication of working with the Among Us devs or contacting them for a collaboration, but the post is popular enough on r/gaming that they may have seen it, as many developers are known to keep their fingers on the pulses of fan communities.

Many comments on the original post are people reminiscing about other social deduction games like Mafia, Werewolf, the controversial Town of Salem, and Secret Hitler. Some people did point out that Mafia and Secret Hitler already existing as in-person party games means there might not be a need for Among Us to make that leap from digital into analog.

However, given Among Us's popularity, as seen through content like fan art, this could be a fun move for the devs to take. Fans should stay tuned to official sources to see what's next for the space-themed deduction game.

Among Us is available now on Mobile and PC.
