Tripwire traps are especially dangerous in Amnesia: The Bunker. Each one of these traps is tied to an explosive, and these traps can create a lot of havoc during a playthrough. For anyone looking to clear these dangerous traps away and pick up the explosives for themselves will need a little help from a cutter.
The Cutter is one of the most useful items in this 2023 horror game called The Bunker. It can be used to cut through chains, like the one on the supply closet in the beginning, disarm traps, cut through wires, and be used on other metal objects. Players will get a ton of use out of this one tool, so they should prioritize picking it up as quickly as possible.
The Location of the Cutter in Amnesia: The Bunker
The Cutter is found in the prison section of the bunker, located past the storage area. The prison section is also located very close to the Soldier Quarters section. Players will need to first get J Delisle's code from his room, get the crank for the prison door, and then turn the crank to get inside.
Head into the prison, following the halls around until the player comes across the cells. In the last one on the right, there is a German POW. Enter this cell and look at the table to the left of the prisoner; the Cutters will be on the table.
Disarming Traps in Amnesia: The Bunker with the Cutter
In order to use the Cutters in Amnesia: The Bunker, head to the inventory screen. On PlayStation 4, this will be the large center button in the middle of the controller. On Xbox in Amnesia: the Bunker, this will be the view key, and on PC, players will need to hit the Tab button.
Click on or select the Cutters to put it into the main character's active hand, then use the interact button to cut the wire, chain, or other metal objects. This will also allow players to pick up the explosives that are connected to the trap and use them to help get through some of the blocked doors in Amnesia: the Bunker.
