The anticipation for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is at an all-time high, with many gamers wondering if they will be able to play their consoles the day that they arrive. Amazon seems to be alleviating some of that worry for players who pre-ordered through the site, as order pages are now being updated with the date of arrival for the systems.

Previously, order pages for the next gen consoles simply said order received, leaving gamers to panic about whether they would receive their new Xbox or PlayStation console on time. With Amazon warning PlayStation purchasers that they may not receive the PS5 on time, and soon after doing the same for adopters of the Series X, some launch day hopes were looking bleak for those diving into the next generation of console gaming.

Thankfully, however, page updates to the order pages for the next gen consoles are finally beginning to change for the better. While the PS5 will not have Amazon Prime at launch, the company should still be getting the consoles to buyers on November 12. Gaming insider and deal-sharer Wario64 has posted an image to Twitter showing that the console’s order page has indeed been updated to show the PS5’s launch date, and Game Rant staff can confirm that some of their Amazon console pre-orders show the launch date as well.

This same good news extends to those that pre-ordered the Xbox Series X, as the November 10 release date has now become a delivery date for the console on Amazon. A handful of dedicated Xbox fans may want to hop into a funny Xbox Series X costume to celebrate the occasion, but for everyone else, refreshing order pages to see the new dates should be enough excitement. While it is unclear how quickly these new dates will roll out, and if everyone will be getting their console on launch day, it is reassuring to know that Amazon has started the process.

It is worth noting, however, that not all next-gen pre-orders via Amazon have changed. Some of PS5’s many accessories like the Pulse3D headset have not yet seen updated release dates on Amazon despite the PS5 accessories being delivered early from other locations. Further, physical copies of PS5 launch titles such as Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales also only show “delivery date pending,” though these will hopefully see an update soon as well. With Amazon managing to deliver the next-gen consoles on their respective launch days, one cane hope that accessories and games will be sent out on time as well.

While this news is undeniably positive for those that managed to pre-order a Series X or PlayStation 5, those who still need to secure a console have a few options coming up soon. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X systems will be available through Best Buy on Black Friday, while Target will have PS5 consoles to acquire on launch day — giving gamers a bit of hope that they will still be able to snag a new console in a timely manner.
