amazon prime day 2019

Amazon recently revealed the dates for its forthcoming Prime Day event which will last a full 48 hours, making it the longest Prime Day event yet. It will begin at midnight on Monday, July 15, and end at midnight on July 17. This sitewide sale can be compared to Black Friday or Cyber Monday in sheer scope, and with Amazon expected to feature several huge game deals, gamers will not want to miss out.

In fact, pre-Prime Day event sales are expected to drop between now and July 15 in order to build anticipation for the sales event. Amazon already has some Prime Video deals available online as well as this Toshiba 48-inch Smart TV for $179.99 (40% savings; $120 off). Those wanting to take advantage of these deals and more will, of course, need to be Amazon Prime subscribers.

Amazon Prime has a one-month free trial that, when expired, becomes $13 per month (or $119 a year). Students and other qualifiers can actually get a six-month free trial that costs $6.49 (or $59 a year). This subscription comes with year-round benefits such as free two-day shipping, Prime Video, Twitch Prime, music streaming, and more, but those who are not interested in such a commitment could also sign up for the free trial to take advantage of the Amazon Prime 2019 event deals. Just be sure to cancel it afterward to avoid being charged.

This event will likely feature a variety of game and console deals on everything from PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox deals to VR, tabletop, Funko Pops, Amazon tech, and more. Early Access deals, Spotlight Deals, Lightning Deals, and more will take place during the event, but only for a short time and in limited stock.
