A fan-favorite character from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s gruesome superhero satire, The Boys, recently appeared in one of the newest season 3 episodes for Amazon Prime Video’s adaption with the same title. This character, Love Sausage, is one of The Boys’ best, and funniest characters.
If there’s one thing to note about Love Sausage, it’s his eagerness for alcohol or the very noticeable sexual organ in his pants. The character is hilarious in both design, action, and dialogue, and there are some great things to know about the character. Hopefully, his appearance in the show glistens into his comic persona.

8 His Powers
In Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, Love Sausage is named by M.M because of the size of his sexual organ, which can grow and move like a tentacle. In the comic, his sexual organ is large, but not the source of his powers. Love Sausage is intensely strong and durable.
Throughout the comic, Love Sausage can be seen breaking down doors and metal ceilings, along with punching people through their chests. He was also seen being able to take direct blasts from rocket launchers, and the comic also highlights his fast speed. Although by no means does he have A-Train’s speed, his reflexes are abnormally fast, even allowing him to kick Stormfront before the character could react.
7 Leader Of The Glorious Five-Year Plan
In the comic, Love Sausage boasts of his time with the Glorious Five-Year Plan. This group of superheroes consisted of The Tractor, Purge, Red Banner, and Collectivo. These heroes existed in Russia as part of the Soviet Union. Their characters were not explored in the comic, with Love Sausage only providing readers with the names of his teammates.
It will be interesting to see if Glorious Five-Year Plan is explored in the Amazon Prime Video series, but that remains to be seen, as Love Sausage has only appeared twice, and he is a far cry from what fans of the comic know.
6 Ally Of The Boys
Unlike Amazon Prime’s Love Sausage, the version from the comics is a good friend and ally to The Boys. In the show, Love Sausage attacked The Boys and used his super-powered sexual organ to strangle M.M. He then appeared later in Herogasm.
As for the comic, Love Sausage develops a close friendship with their newest member, Hughie. Love Sausage is one of the few, if not only, Supe ally of The Boys, as even Starlight is just tolerated as Hughie’s girlfriend and kept mostly as a secret.
5 Helped Kill Stormfront
There are vast differences between The Boys in the comic and the TV show, yet one thing remains: Stormfront is a Nazi. In the comic, Stormfront is a male and is the first Supe ever created. When Payback, Stormfront’s team, were sent to kill The Boys, they were met with a gruesome end.
The Boys, and Love Sausage, brutally beat Stormfront to death. Part of the reason Love Sausage came to America to help The Boys with Stormfront was due to the villain being a Nazi, and Love Sausage being a former tank commander in World War 2.
4 Owns A Bar In Moscow, Russia
When The Boys fly out to Moscow in Russia on a mission, their first place of rendezvous is with a friend of Butcher. When they arrive, readers meet a rather loud, and altruistic tall man. Vasilii Vorishikin introduces himself, and Butcher introduces him as the former superhero, Love Sausage.
Readers first see Love Sausage out of his old superhero costume, and instead as a bartender. He is wearing a stained apron and a brown sweater. His bar is unnamed, but it is filled with interesting characters in the background. Love Sausage, as far as audiences are aware, does not own a bar in the Amazon Prime Video series.
3 Loves Poisonous Vodka

Part of Love Sausage’s charm isn’t only for his joyful personality, but his love of a drink. Love Sausage falls into the stereotype of a Russian, who loves alcohol, more specifically, vodka. The character’s favorite drink is vodka that he makes himself. It is unmistakable, as it has a giant skull and crossbones on the bottle, indicating its poisonous nature, and something that could rival The Seven's Homelander.
This alcohol is made from brake fluid, a drink that fans of the comic should not try, for its poisonous nature. Love Sausage loves to drink the stuff, and it even saves Hughie and himself, as they share the drink, which unbeknownst to them, kills off the poison in the food they ate.
2 His Kryptonite
There’s no secret in the comic pages of The Boys on what Love Sausage is hiding down his spandex. It’s the view of many jokes involved with Love Sausage, and even his name is a gigantic reference to his sexual organ. When Hughie and Love Sausage are chasing a suspect through a strip club, the latter becomes incapacitated and cannot follow the former.
This is due in part to Love Sausage’s Kryptonite, to which he states himself. The character’s large organ makes it so that he cannot run straight whilst excited. This makes it so the character is nigh on useless when it comes to being aroused and needing to fight.
1 Killed By Billy Butcher
After the climactic events of the superhero showdown at The White House, The Boys believe that their mission is over and that Butcher has had his revenge against Homelander. Yet, not everything is as it seems, and things go south, fast. Audiences witness Love Sausage running, and bleeding, mortally wounded by none other than our protagonist, Billy Butcher.
Butcher hunts and shoots Love Sausage with an enhanced RPG and leave him to die. It’s a gruesome end to a beloved character, who did not deserve such an evil fate. Before Love Sausage dies, he manages to send a warning text to his good friend, Hughie, so that he does not share his fate.
