Amazon Prime Gaming subscribers are spoiled for free-content month to month, whether it's in the form of free games or an incredibly diverse range of DLC for a long list of free-to-play games. Big games via Amazon Prime Gaming are rare, however, as the service tends to focus more heavily on indie titles that subscribers may have missed. It seems that Amazon Prime Gaming has a special surprise coming up in August, however, with both Battlefield 5 and a classic Indiana Jones title both now confirmed.

In a video sharing Amazing Prime Gaming's planned releases for August 2021, the most prominent offering will be Battlefield 5. Battlefield 5 is the most recent release in the franchise, having launched in 2018. It's a competitive multiplayer first-person shooter made by EA Dice, as most every Battlefield title is. It sold over seven million copies, but EA surprisingly still considers it a disappointment sales-wise. Battlefield 2042 will take its place later this year, so Amazon offering Battlefield 5 is a great way for new players to get acclimated to the franchise's gameplay.

After Battlefield 5, Amazon Prime Gaming will be giving away a free copy of the classic point and click adventure game Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. This LucasArts-developed game was originally released in 1992 and was considered the best adventure game at a time where adventure games were one of gaming's most popular genres. Amazon sharing Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis comes as a new Indiana Jones movie moves forward in production and a major AAA Indiana Jones game starts from Wolfenstein-developer MachineGames moves forward.

As with every month, Amazon Prime Gaming has more free games to share. Metamorphosis, A Normal Lost Phone, Planet Alpha, Secret Files: Tunguska, and Lost Horizon 2 will round out the month. That should make for plenty of options for those who may not be into Battlefield 5.

Of course, Amazon Prime Gaming doesn't offer only whole video games as part of its free monthly offerings. In August, Amazon Prime Gaming is also going to offer free content for games including Fall Guys' Season 5, Legends of Runeterra, Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer, and Rainbow Six Siege. Much more left unmentioned will also be available.

An Amazon Prime Gaming subscription costs $12.99 a month, though new subscribers can get 30 days free to start. Amazon Prime includes free two-day shipping, as well as access to Prime Video and other online services. There's also a free Twitch channel month-long subscription included, too. Expect August's Amazon Prime Gaming offerings to arrive starting on the first and through the month.
