At TwitchCon 2016, Amazon revealed it was working on three PC games: Breakaway, Crucible, and New World. The first was canceled earlier this year, but it seems progress is being made on the third. New World is described as a "massive multiplayer sandbox game with a supernatural colonial America theme" with players having the ability to fight each other and monsters.

While little more than that has been revealed about the game, footage has recently leaked in the most peculiar of places: PornHub. At the tail end of last month, two hours and 11 minutes of uncut streamed footage was uploaded to the website. It's worth mentioning that Amazon's game was in a closed alpha and protected by an NDA when this was uploaded.

It was first leaked to a Discord channel with a Google Drive file but then uploaded to the pornography website as "backup...in case of removal." It was eventually removed from PornHub but it was viewed over 3,800 times beforehand. Thanks to YouTuber Less Than Epic who condensed it and uploaded his own impressions, nine minutes of the game can be checked out below:

It's also worth noting that this New World footage isn't the first time PornHub has been used as a proxy for leaked gameplay. In 2015, Fallout 4 footage was uploaded to the website and viewed by thousands. Arguably, the move makes sense because it is likely the last place many would look for leaked footage, but clearly, the website is not above copyright laws. Interestingly enough, Amazon itself has oftentimes played the role of the leaker, although its most recent leak has gotten more wrong than right (so far).

In related news, Amazon has recently replaced its pre-order bonus with a caveat-heavy credit, but it remains to be seen how that will influence the launch of the MMO.

New World is currently in development for PC.
