Amazon has become a prime destination for savvy spending gamers looking to score deals on new games or accessories. The online marketplace regularly features site-wide sales on games and gaming accessories with popular titles seeing significant discounts. Amazon has also heavily pushed its Amazon Prime subscriptions with Prime members receiving free games every month, as well as in-game rewards for online games like League of Legends and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Now, Amazon is kicking off its Gaming Week promotion with discounts on games, hardware, and more.

Amazon's Gaming Week officially started this morning with the sales offering major discounts on a variety of games. Gamers can pick up select games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Kingdom Hearts 3 at significantly marked-down prices. Amazon is featuring major markdowns on its own games as well with Amazon Game Studios' New World offering 50% discounts on both the Standard and Deluxe versions. The Amazon-published Lost Ark is also seeing discounts as part of the Gaming Week festivities, with Starter Packs for the Smilegate-developed MMO reduced by 10%.

Gaming Week appears to be placing a focus on gaming peripherals and hardware in its opening deals with discounts on TVs, mice, and more. Brands like Dell, ASUS, HP, and more are featuring discounts on gaming PCs and laptops. Acer's Nitro 5 laptop is currently discounted to $879.99 and iBUYPOWER's Slate MR 246i gaming desktop received a 21% price cut to $794.99. Popular PC brands like Razer and Logitech are also featuring sales on their gaming peripherals with Razer products like the Kaira Pro headset and Orochi V2 mice discounted by more than 30%.

Amazon will also be featuring several bonus perks for customers throughout the Gaming Week celebration. Amazon Music Unlimited will be offering a free 3-month subscription as part of Gaming Week with interested buyers able to redeem the free trial through September 6th. Lost Ark and New World will also be featuring a special bonus for Twitch viewers with streams of both games giving drops with cosmetics and other in-game incentives. Amazon's newest promotion comes as the popular marketplace has been the subject of several recent rumors relating to a major game studio. Following a wave of high-profile acquisitions in the gaming world earlier this year, rumors have suggested Amazon may be looking to purchase EA. EA has been heavily rumored to be pursued by several major gaming studios in recent months with Microsoft and Sony tied to the potential purchase. While nothing has been confirmed about an EA purchase, Amazon Gaming Week offers plenty of ways for gamers to pick up a deal for themselves.
