A while ago, a rumor had been making the rounds claiming that the American multinational technology company and online retailer Amazon is working on its own game streaming service to rival both Microsoft and Google, with the venture potentially set to launch as soon as 2020. Until that possibly comes to pass, it looks like Amazon will continue to provide solid deals on individual games on consoles, with a new sale offering up to 50% off on select new PS4 and Xbox One games right now.

Naturally, with this particular Amazon sale only giving discounts up to 50% off, not every game included in the deal is going to have its cost slashed in half. Even so, the price reductions are still quite significant, with recently released Triple-A games such as Tom Clancy's The Division 2 having about $10 knocked off the suggested retail price, and other popular titles such as Kingdom Hearts 3 getting a 34% price drop on PS4.

It looks as if Amazon's up to 50% off sale on games is somewhat favoring Ubisoft titles, as the publisher and developer's recently released racing game Trials Rising has had its price marked down by half, bringing it to $20, while Assassin's Creed Odyssey can be obtained for $31. Far Cry: New Dawn has also had its price reduced by 50%, giving players the chance to get the first-person shooter at the incredibly low price of $20.

Of course, the aforementioned titles in this Amazon sale may not be everyone's cup of tea. What's more is that a few of the prices between the PS4 and Xbox One versions fluctuate somewhat. Nevertheless, we have decided to provide a list of some of the best deals that appear to be available right now.

If players don't find the exact deal they're looking for in this Amazon sale, then one can always look to other retailers for potential price drops on some of the titles they have been eyeing. For instance, Target is currently running a "Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off" game sale, and it includes other newer releases such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Devil May Cry 5, Marvel's Spider-Man, and more.
