This week marks the start of Target's online Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off video game sale. Amazon, never one to let another retailer undercut it, is now holding a similar sale. Amazon has its own Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off sale for video games, available as of Sunday night. The sale has a relatively limited selection, but does include a diverse range of old and new titles. It also features pre-orders on highly anticipated games like Elden Ring.

From Software's Elden Ring isn't the only great deal available in Amazon's BOGO 50% Off sale, though. There are several other games available for pre-order as part of the event. Bandai Namco has decided to offer Digimon Survive, Tales of Arise, and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Biomutant, Indivisible, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD pre-orders are also on sale. Perhaps the most exciting items included in the sale are the Deluxe Editions of either WWE 2K20 or Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

There are plenty of great games that are already available in Amazon's BOGO 50% Off sale, too. PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone is included, and is already discounted to start with. Mortal Kombat 11, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Samurai Shodown, Dragon Quest Builders 2, and Rage 2 are just a few of the major 2019 releases up for grabs. Barring all else, Fortnite players can pick up two Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundles for PS4 and get a steep discount on a bunch of V-Bucks.

Sports and racing game fans will also be pleased with what they find. For arcade racing fans, there's Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Nickelodeon Kart Racers, and Team Sonic Racing. For extreme racing fans, there's Monster Jam Steel Titans, Wreckfest, Dirt Rally 2.0, and MotoGP 19. Or there's Burnout Paradise for everyone. Sports simulation fans have a great selection, too, with NBA 2K19, Madden NFL 20, NHL 19, WWE 2K19, PES 2019, FIFA 17, and Tennis World Tour all available.

It's unclear just how long the Amazon sale will last. Amazon makes clear that it's a limited-time offer, but a date for when the offer will end isn't immediately identifiable. That just means that if any of the games on the list stand out, it's best to buy them sooner rather than later. The late-summer video game release season is approaching, so sales will be increasingly rare. Now is the perfect opportunity to pick up some of early 2019's best games at a great price.
