Every new Marvel Studios show that hits Disney Plus comes with a slew of merchandise and, though it may be a bit late to the party, Hot Toys' brand new Loki figures are definitely worth the wait.

Loki premiered this summer with its six episodes running from mid-June to July and marking a shift for Disney’s MCU exclusives as they moved to Wednesdays instead of Fridays to make room for upcoming Star Wars shows. Not only that, since its debut Loki has gone on to become the best-reviewed MCU series among critics and audiences, beating out WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier thanks in large part to its vast selection of Lokis.

Many of these variants have been immortalized in collectible form by Hot Toys, and the latest two to join the roster are none other than President Loki and reptile fan-favorite Alligator Loki. The pair come packed as a bundle, with the President Loki figurine standing at 12.2” (31cm). The figure also features an immaculate level of detail in a costume that includes everything from a cane to daggers ready to be equipped thanks to the included swappable hands sets.

Since alligators are measured in length, the other Loki's one-inch height isn’t really a good metric to judge this reptile’s glorious purpose, but it does come with a TV-accurate helmet. The hand-painted head has been painstakingly crafted to make this Loki just like Tom Hiddleston in a way that justifies the set’s $285 price tag. So yes, Hot Toys is definitely catering to the high-end Marvel figurine market.

While Funko Pops might still be a cheaper option, this impressive collectible is a great way to celebrate what is as of now the MCU series that has brought the biggest revelations for the MCU’s Phase Four, as Loki is responsible for unraveling the multiverses storytelling potential. It’s no wonder then that Loki is the only one out of these shows that is already locked in for a second season, with the trickster god also being a heavy favorite to appear in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Of course, right now Hawkeye is Disney's hot new show, with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop’s furry sidekick having a very serious claim to the title of “Best MCU animal” over Alligator Loki. Lucky the Pizza Dog may not have any glorious purpose but he’ll definitely get more screen time than the cold-blooded variant.

Loki is now available on Disney Plus.
