As of late, the video game publisher and developer Capcom has put out critical and financial successes with the release of its Resident Evil 2 remake at the beginning of this year and with the launch of Devil May Cry 5 last month. Now, the company has put out a short video teasing a new announcement slated for tomorrow that will include the science fiction intellectual property Alien vs. Predator in some way.

According to Capcom's "New Challenger" teaser, the announcement will occur on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 3:00 PM GMT / 4:00 PM CET, but it doesn't offer much in the way of exactly what fans of the company should expect just yet. The clip only lasts roughly 24 seconds, and shows shows reflections of gameplay over an arcade controller, including Giga Wing, Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Street Fighter 2, Progear, and what appears to be Alien vs. Predator.

At one point in Capcom's tease, viewers can clearly see a Xenomorph in the reflection of the arcade controller. What's more is that Alien vs. Predator is basically confirmed to be a part of tomorrow's announcement, as the end of the clip features some copyright text which reads “Alien, Predator, and Alien vs. Predator are TM & (C) 2019 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.”

Based on the gameplay seen in the clip, one potential explanation for Alien vs. Predator being a part of tomorrow's announcement will be the 1994 Alien vs. Predator arcade beat 'em up getting confirmed for a Capcom collection. The publisher and developer put out the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle back in September 2018, and with the language of "here comes a new challenger" being used in the teaser, it's quite possible a followup will be revealed tomorrow.

All things considered, we will simply have to wait and see what Capcom has in store for the Alien vs. Predator property for tomorrow's announcement. Thankfully, there's not much longer between now and then until we find out.

Alien vs. Predator was developed and released by Capcom for the CPS-2 arcade game system in 1994.
