With Resident Evil Village now less than two weeks away from being released, horror is probably on a lot of people's minds at the moment. With the likes of Alien: Isolation becoming free until next Thursday on Epic Games Store, there's perhaps more good news for fans of Creative Assembly's homage to the original Alien film.

Those who are interested in picking up a free copy of the 2014 sci-fi horror masterpiece Alien: Isolation over on Epic will be pleased to know that the DLC Last Survivor is also free. That is to say, that the DLC will actually come bundled together with the original game, a game consistently makes it into the top ten lists in terms of horror and those who have played it will understand why.

For those who don't know, Last Survivor is more than just an extra bit of gameplay added onto the main storyline. It's a recreation of the final moments of the classic 1979 Alien film in which the original cast reunite to reprise their roles, including Sigourney Weaver and Ian Holm. The DLC is a sequel to another Alien Isolation add-on, Crew Expendable which takes place just after Brett's famous death sequence at the hands of the Xenomorph.

With the game and DLC being free until the 29th April, it's worth fans getting hold of their copy while they can. The next time some exciting Alien-related news will be seen is likely when Alien: Isolation 2 gets announced which is unlikely to happen for a long time anyway.

Alien: Isolation is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
