Over the last week, players have gotten the opportunity to claim 3 out of 10's second season for free on the Epic Games Store, with the promotion coming to an end earlier today. Luckily for players, three new games are free on Epig Gams Store to take its place, with Deponia: The Complete Adventure, Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth, and The First Tree all made free to claim until April 22.

However, that isn't all, as Epic Games has announced two more games it's giving away next week. Starting on April 22, Alien Isolation and Hand of Fate 2 will replace the current trifecta of popular adventure games.

For those who never played Alien Isolationthe first-person survival-horror adaptation of Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic launched in 2014. The game follows Amanda Ripley, the daughter of iconic Alien protagonist Ellen Ripley, as she investigates the disappearance of her mother aboard the Sevastopol space station.

As expected for an adaptation of the seminal franchise, Alien Isolation tasks players with escaping the clutches of a terrifying xenomorph, hiding from the creature as it stalks hallways, hides in vents, and investigates the player's every move. The game was lorded at release for its unpredictable AI, intimidating central antagonist, and clear respect for its source material.

As for Hand of Fate 2, the game's a dungeon-crawling RPG with a twist. The player's adventure is entirely defined by a pack of cards held by a mysterious dealer, with the enemies they face, the rewards they receive, and the outcomes of the choices they make all being decided by what he pulls. Hand of Fate 2's interesting central idea netted an array of good reviews at release, with critics praising its unique concept and the replayability that stems from it.

Although many likely already redeemed a copy of Alien Isolation when it was free during the Epic Games Store's 15 Days of Free Games Christmas promotion, the pairing is without a doubt an enticing reason to log into the storefront next week.

As for what players can claim right now, Daedelic Entertainment's Deponia is a humorous point and click adventure, Ken Follet's The Pillars of Earth is a compelling adaptation of the iconic novel of the same name, and The First Tree is a story-focused title that follows a fox looking for its missing family. All three titles will be available over the next week and can be claimed by setting up an account over on the Epic Games Store.
